Re: Letter to Mazda
Well done Ian. It'll be interesting to see what reply Mazda send. I wrote enthusiastically to Mazda about 15 years ago to suggest the Bongo could have iconic value to their brand rather as the Type 2 and Beetle did for VW many years ago. Never heard anything back from them. Strange how it takes a gr...

Re: Helen Green RIP
I came onto the forum today just to apologise for being such an infrequent visitor these days. I am shocked and saddened to read of Helen's passing - I had no idea and had corresponded with her only recently (I think, my memory is not good!) on 'the other Bongo comms channel'. Helen was an absolute ...

Re: Roll of Honour
I think Geoff should be given the Lifetime Award for Services to Bongoship. Well done again Geoff - thoroughly well deserved.

Just made my first call into the BF forum in a while Geoff and read this. Great news that your Bongo adventures are getting back into their stride.

Re: Droplinks where am I going wrong?
I was told by a Bongo fan ages ago that the main cause of premature drop link failure was too high tyre pressure especially on the front. I know that some have their tyres at high pressure for fuel economy but perhaps this has some bearing on it. I doubt it very much that the tyre pressure would af...

Re: A transmission fault code that's not on the list...
Only just seen the latest posts as forum software didnt flag them up as new. Sounds encouragingly like it may just be TPS related. Hopefully (esp with Geoff on hand to direct you to data) the problem will get tracked down and sorted. Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: Fresh import - first tasks, rust proofing (in 2021...)
Welcome. Roof should be raised with engine running and, for best oomph, revs raised a bit so alternator gets best voltage to motors. Enjoy the new motor. They're fun. Spent several dsys valeting mine when i bought it and it responded well to treatment. I wonder if its starting as well as it should -...

Re: Clean Air Zone in Bath
That's my approach to these taxes. I Don't go there. Indeed Ben.Even before Covid I only did about 5k miles a year and very little in cities. You'd think a 'rationing' tax might make for an interesting variation that would still reduce the pollution problem but without turning newcomers and ...
