I would have thought that judicious use of a hairdryer should soften it - then peel it off?
Same for those stupid ones on the mirror glasses.

Re: DEBATE: Can LB be charged using 240v charger working off
I thought about 60w solar panels too, Mike, and when Maplins had them on offer recently. I splashed out for them. I had visions of fitting them on the AFT - but they weigh a ton!! 4 off, 15w each panel - and including the controller, I believe I paid about £180 by using the discount vouchers - but t...

Re: Import Scheme Nightmare
I notice the OP said the vehicle was already en route to Soton when he bought it - so that means in effect it was a personal import, thus attracting a lower Import Duty rate, I believe? I'm sure I've seen somewhere on here that is why you save money by buying once the vehicle is "en route"...

Brilliant job there, Geoff - many thanks to all those involved. A very useful facility.
Just one question - are either of them downloadable, so we can put the relevant one on our FactSheet memory sticks?

You could try Protech at Nailsea - they have multiple service bays, and know Bongo's.

Re: Alternator wire
Geoff - the way I've always understood the ignition light works is by having a live feed to one side of the lamp when the ignition is switched on. The other side of the lamp is earthed through the alternator when at rest. As soon as the alternator energizes, the wire becomes positive - so the lamp h...

Re: Roof Bar Fixings
I'm just dubious how secure the mounting points on the AFT actually are? At least one of mine seem to be a bit loose - does anyone know if they are actually stepped into the roof so they can't pull out?
Judging by mine, I would not be happy attaching much to them, or am I worrying unduly?

Re: Any thoughts on easy place to fit an oil temp. sensor?
"Maybe a modified sump plug would do the job." I did wonder about that option, Dave - but was wondering - any crud circulating in the oil would naturally accumulate around the sump plug - I would imagine - would this affect the operation of the sensor, especially as I tend to suck the old ...
