Re: CAM BELT FAILURE! V6

Non-interference as far as I can tell. Proof: member's cam belt snapped on V6 Bongo 2 weeks ago in Dorset. Taken to RD Motors in Poole. Everything checked, no damage to engine, new cam belt installed, everything back to normal.

Fylingdales 26th to 28th April

This year's Tough Northerners meeting will be held at Grouse Hill, Fylindales, just south of Whitby North Yorkshire. We last went there in 2015 and it is an excellent site up on the moors, with a dog-friendly pub within walking distance. There are regular buses from the site entrance to Robin Hoods ...

You can't beat the TM2 alarm, which measures the running temp of the cylinder head. More expensive than the kits on eBay but worth the investment:

Re: Immobiliser problem

Sorry, but I can't answer your particular problem, and I don't know whereabouts in Cornwall you are, but you are fortunate to have some leading Bongo mechanics nearby. In Plymouth you have https://www.allansvehicleservices.co.uk/ and in Bodmin you have http://www.pitstopgs.com/. Both will be able to...

Re: WTO Rules

Good job we only send a few bits and pieces to Europe. Here's today's message from courier firm DPD: If the UK leaves the EU on 29th March without a deal, parcels shipped to the EU will need customs clearance for exports and imports from this date. That means all shipments to the EU will require you...

Re: Buying my first Bongo

This private seller can be trusted; he lives 3 doors up from me and has promised me a case of beer if I can help him sell it  https://igmaynard.co.uk/blog/2019/01/11/11-09-18-andrew-flude/ I walk past it twice a day. It's an unconverted (8 seater) diesel that is in fantastic mechanical conditio...

Re: Finding the aircon leak

Yes, that's the one. The pipe you require is Mazda part S09A61464B. This is not available in UK but can be ordered from Japan, about 1 week turn around (subject to customs delays). Plus we have all the Aircon O Rings, and the blanking kit for the rear pipes. Best to email me ian@bongofury.co.uk if y...
