Re: No side lights and more
Yep, it was a dodgy wire, but thanks for the suggestion about the earth/ground as that hadn’t occurred to me and would have missed it if that was the issue

Re: No side lights and more
I’ve got a related problem…just failed my MOT for both registration plate lights not working. Bulbs are ok, it’s not them. Have taken off the tailgate lining and the wiring seems sound. All fuses seem ok and no other lights faulty. Any ideas anyone?? I’m scratching my head! Thanks

Re: Starter battery
Thank you. From looking at these I notice one of them is 580 CCA - so I’m guessing anything 580 and above would be powerful enough, is that right do you think?

Re: Rear heater faulty
Ah, that’s useful to know. If it means disconnecting the coolant I think I’ll avoid the job completely and rely solely on the front heaters which circulate warm air pretty well. I know that once I get started removing things I won’t know where to stop, so easiest if I just learn to live with it ...

Re: Rear heater faulty
Thanks. It seems a bit of a coincidence that I also have a noisy fan as well as no heat, so maybe more likely to be something in the unit itself. That’s as far as my thinking takes me. Maybe my first thing should be to check the unit itself, and if there’s no obvious fault move on to the pipes. Do ...

Rear heater faulty
Hi,
Wondering if anyone can suggest what might be causing a rear heater to be noisily blowing cold air when switched on? The front heater works perfectly but not the rear
Any suggestions very much appreciated

Re: Where are the ribs?
This is very helpful as it gives me a rough idea of what’s behind that plastic. Thanks a lot

Where are the ribs?
Hi,
I’m looking to secure a small shelving unit in the rear of my tintop and was wondering if anyone knows where to find a diagram showing me where to expect the metal ribs underneath the trim.
My vehicle is only partially converted, so it means removing the original trim, and I don’t want to go ...

Re: Interior lighting/ trim
Thanks for this…once again! I don’t think I’d have worked this out by myself and would have ended up causing damage as usual by aggressive fiddling with whatever totally unsuitable tool came to hand!

Interior lighting/ trim
Hi all
Anyone got any advice or tips on how to remove the interior light and trim above windscreen without doing too much damage? I want to add an additional rear interior light to the same circuit. Thanks

Fire extinguisher
Hi,
I’m getting a small fire extinguisher but not sure yet where to put it…anyone who’s got one, where did you put it? Any suggestions for some “dead space” where I could put it?
Thanks

Nope, none of the above- never mind, no harm in being optimistic and I can’t be bothered to install, they work fine manually. Thanks though
