I took out the original stereo and revealed numerous wires and connecters. A nightmare to me! I've located the original loom plug which was covered in sticky sponge. Can I assume that when I manage to unplug it (the loom) all the wires which ran through it will be dead and can be left behind the new ...

My Bongo has this card slot thing which also talks some Japanese to me on starting up. It's just under the steering wheel. Is this connected to the 3 in 1 CD player? I do intend to replace the Cd player at some point - just want to know if this is part of the original set up.
