Hi
Could anyone recommend a Bongo friendly garage in WsM, MOT / service due end of November
Took her to Bedminster last year (ADS automotive), as good as they were I was after somewhere closer to home
Cheers

Re: Wheel arch covers
I’ve got them on mine
Although I bought the Bongo wiht them already on, they look ok but the rubber behind it has gone brittle and looks crap now
I want to take them off but I’m a bit scared they might be hiding rust, apparently they are water traps too

Wiper not working on INTER setting
Switched my wipers on to intermittent setting
Nothing happens (regardless of what the interval is set at)
Settings 2 (normal) and 3 (fast) work fine.
I operate the washer jets for the front window (and although it should operate the wipers to wipe a number of times) and nothing happens with the ...

Re: Electrical problems
Ah thank you for the reply
It had a service at the end of November, not driven it since then so maybe been knocked
The garage (ADS Bedminster) said they checked the battery condition during servicing so maybe not fully retightened

Electrical problems
Hello all
On the Bongo…
2000 2.0 petrol
Bit of a weird one, wipers don’t seem to work on intermittent, fine on speeds 2 and 3
Don’t think rear de-mister works
Temperature gauge doesn’t come on, goes to 11 o clock position, then drops down, quite erratic (I was driving it at around freezing ...

Replacement fabric mushroom roof
Hi
I’ve got a 2000 X reg converted by JAL
It’s got a mushroom roof, the plastic top part has gone brittle and is detaching from several different places
I’ve been quoted £499 for a new fabric (fitted) by JAL
although that’s a bit of a trek to Worcester from here, can anyone recommend someone in ...

Re: Rear fog light 2000 X reg
It turns out it was a loose wire on the back of the switch
Had to take out the fuse box, steering wheel lower panel cover and get the plastic welding rods (cable ties) out to tidy up the wiring a bit (it was pulling from the main loom running down the drivers footwell trim), when I pushed the ...

Re: Rear fog light 2000 X reg
In case I wasn’t clear (it wouldn’t be first time)
Checked as thus:
Ignition on
Headlights on
Fog light switch depressed (fronts on, rear not)
Fog light switch depressed, extra switch below (right knee position) switched on (fronts on rear not)
Bulb checked - intact
Definitely need to buy a ...

There’s a round a/m switch there but doesn’t seem to do anythingBob wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 8:39 am A common place for the switch is down by your right knee, worth looking to see if there is another one there, and, as said, you likely need the headlights on.![]()

Re: Rear fog light 2000 X reg
Normally you need to have the side lights or headlights on to get the rear fog to work.
Have you tested see if there is power to the positive in the rear fog? If there is then check the earth. If no power, try to follow the wire back up to the front or from the switch toward the rear. As these ...
