Hi All, I am new to this forum and I have a distributor misfire problem

Well it is my daughters 2000 2 litre 4 wire distributor causing a problem as follows

The distributor appears to have a gap/crack at the base and I can see an arcing deep within this gap/crack. I don't know if the gap is ...
