Re: Snapped Bolt - What part of the Engine is this
Just undid the other bolt and oil gushed and drained my power steering Resevoir , so I now know what the pipe leads into :) What diameter are those bolts? They're marked 7 and I'm pretty sure ones on my bike with that number can only be torqued to 11nm which is only really nipped up if you don't ha...

Re: 2.0 Bongo struggling to start in rain
Its worth going over all the electrical connectors checking for green stuff(corrosion) spray with WD40 then plug and unplug a few times to clean them up, then I put a smear of vaseline on each before plugging them back together, check battery leads are tight as well as any earth leads you can find e...

Re: Roof Motors Advice - Bongo 2.5TD 1999
My apologies again, something must have came up and distracted me at the time and I completely forgot to take a look, probably due to holiday season as both myself and my son have been taking breaks away in the van, him at weekends and us during the week as with the glorious climate change we couldn...

From those images I can't see any leaks so why does it need replacing? If you really want to do it you've already got your answer, remove what needs removing.

Re: Smell of petrol every now and then + Engine light
If the alternator belts aren't at the correct tension the dash lights will do as you describe as well as the battery won't be getting its full charge current, I'd also check the oil level to make sure its not low.

Re: MOT Friday
I've been under but at 67 I'm not so flexible and being a decently sized bloke its too cramped under there without lifting it for me to work, fitting the new fog lamp was bad enough and convinced me I'd need ramps or stands, luckily my sons colleague is lending us his set so I'll be good to go by ne...

Re: Engine cranks but wont turn over
Is it still starting and running OK with the easy start spray? You need a diesel fitter as trying to diagnose anything without being there is impossible. Try a bus garage or any haulage company or plant hire place they all employ these people to keep their fleets on the road, considering it was runn...

Re: Fuel Consumption Calculators
At todays prices I no longer look or care and use the tapping method to pay, all I know is we're being robbed blind by 'our' govt and I probably get somewhere near 30 mpg.

Re: Cobra Cat 1 Key Fob/Alarm Reset
Yeah I called a locksmith once out he came and drilled through the barrel, replaced it and charged over a hundred quid back in the mid eighties, I've broke in ever since and whatever I broke getting in I replace and I've not been out of pocket since. Worst things about vehicle alarms is when they st...

At that price or more at todays rates I'd stick to turning the key in the lock.

Thanks for the heads up, our 'friends and partners' on the continent are proving beyond a doubt we were best off to leave the club, pettiness at its best.

Sorry mate I couldn't tell you for certain if they're the originals but considering its only been in this country three years and with 60k miles I assume they're all original parts, I can raise it in the morning and check for the numbers if you like, I'll post the results afterwards.
