Re: Sliding Door Motor Not Working

I've been further poking around and discovered that I can manually trip the switch to the motor at the rear latch using a long screwdriver. I had the original motor installed, it came back to life and completed its cycle when I did that, but the door still won't latch in the rear.

Not sure what ...

Re: Sliding Door Motor Not Working

Yes, have tried it with the van running. I fear this is becoming too complicated for my simple brain to comprehend at this point.

I just wish the door would shut all the way without the soft close. We have a long drive coming up this weekend, and it's a real pain to have the gap at the back of the ...

Re: Sliding Door Motor Not Working

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Still no luck.

During yet another internet search, I came across this forum post from 2010:

After a bit more investigation, I've found that the microswitch by the locking mechanism at the top rear ...

Sliding Door Motor Not Working

Our sliding door soft-close motor stopped working on a recent trip. I closed the door, and it made the usual “whirring” noise, but it sounded kind of weak, and the door didn't fully shut. The central locking also stopped working on the sliding door.

I checked the fuse, cleaned the contacts on the ...

Re: sliding door rear roller mechanism

For future reference in case someone is searching for this in the future:

I sourced the whole roller mechanism from Milton Goughs BONGO Graveyard for £30 posted. The install took about 15-20 minutes.

Re: sliding door rear roller mechanism

Found this thread while searching for a similar issue - the vertical roller on the centre sliding mechanism has completely disintegrated on my van. It made an awful noise when closing the door and on further inspection the outer race was broken in half and there were loose ball bearings in the track ...

Re: Brake-y noise question (2L)

I tried jacking up the wheel and with the foot brake applied there was no movement. I would assume that eliminates the wiggle shown in the first vid as being an issue. Any other thoughts? Cheers

Brake-y noise question (2L)

Hi all - another question from this mechanically inept bongo owner. We had all four brakes replaced a few months back, sometime recently we started hearing a clunk when we would apply the brakes. Had the van in last week for an MOT and asked them (same shop that did brakes) check the noise out ...

2l Oily Residue

Another novice question for all of the great folks on here. I noticed quite a bit of residue around the engine. Oil level is normal. I did have to add a bit of coolant recently. Is this normal? Am I doomed? Suggestions? Thanks

Re: Temperature Sender Unit install

Thanks for the diagram, it's connected via a single green wire on mine.

Sorry for the repeated newb questions, is this something that I can install without needing to drain the coolant?

Temperature Sender Unit install

Hi all - new 2.0l bongo owner here, coming up on our first issue. Our temp gauge was acting out yesterday - wasn't working, then it was back to normal reading, then back off etc. When I had a look around the engine I noticed the temp sender unit appeared to be pretty badly corroded, the flange ended ...
