Re: Camshaft sprocket removal

Thanks, realised that the cover had another two small bolts. Removed them and the camshaft comes out without the need to take the sprocket off.

Cheers

Camshaft sprocket removal

Hi,

We are trying to remove the camshaft sprocket on a 1996 2.5 diesel as changing the head after overheating. We have a 17mm breaker bar on the nut, and a 26mm spanner on the camshaft flats. But we cannot get the nut off. We are assuming it's a normal thread and not reversed?

What are we missing?

Re: Italy - Buying a wheel

Did not try personally the dealers but the recovery service told me they tried and no one had one. So have ended up shipping from the UK.

Re: Italy - Buying a wheel

Just to help anyone in the future. If you try and import to Italy, customs need an Italian resident to sign and provide their social security number to release the parcel. So you have to find a resident

Italy - Buying a wheel

Hi,

Has anyone had to buy a wheel in Italy before? It's for a rear wheel drive 1996 diesel. Cracked alloy.

Local recovery service can't help

Thanks

Re: LPG Underslung tank

Yes plenty of people do it on other kinds of vans in particular and I can find specifically made mounting brackets for fiat, peugeot, VW, ford etc etc. Yes, you install a filler point and the tank has a one way valve and auto cut off so you do not over fill (>80%) then a output valve that goes to yo...

Re: LPG Underslung tank

Hi Geoff, Yes I have a diesel so its not converting the engine to run on gas. I would like to be able to carry more gas than I can today with a portable 2.75kg gas bottle. So looking at fixing a permanent tank to feed my gas appliances. Also as space internally is at a premium, then I would have mor...

LPG Underslung tank

Hi, Has anyone mounted a LPG underslung torpedo tank on the N/S space (where a 4x4 would have the transfor box). I think people generally go for the donut instead of the spare type but I need a relatively small tank for the fridge and cooker. Looks to be space but I wondering about the mounts people...

Under bonnet rubber seal

Hi,

Has anyone ever replaced the seal under bonnet that directs the water from the windscreen?

I was thinking a push on rubber would work better that the push in version that is the original.

Thanks

AFT Seal

Hi,

I'm going to replace my AFT seal on a 1996 Bongo. I did find a link to a supplier that sells the rubber seal in lengths but cannot find it any more.

Does anyone have a recommendation where to buy from?

Thanks

Re: Under seat sliding drawer

I got mine made up by https://plyworxuk.co.uk/ after seeing them on instagram, I think it was £120 shipped to the ROI. I've had a look through my photos and can't find one but I'll take some in the next day or two, it's a proper job! Got one made and fitted. Looks amazing, thanks for the information.
