Re: Headlight Problem

Oh sorry - I see you've specified under the steering wheel, not the one I was thinking of. I'll check the light in the morning and mention that to them if it's not on. Thanks very much.

Re: Headlight Problem

I think it does. (I'll have to go check now.) I actually mentioned the white connector thingy to them. The reverse beeper was still working which was another reason for me being puzzled about it all.

Re: Headlight Problem

Update. The lights only needed new bulbs. I was thrown by the fact that there was no 'beep' when the key was in the ignition - taken in combination I panicked and thought it was some unsolvable electric issue. The garage is telling me it's to do with a faulty door switch? They've ordered a new one f...

Headlight Problem

My rather rusty Bongo passed its MOT on Christmas Eve after a lot of welding. Seemed fine. Haven't driven it for about a week. Had a hospital appointment today...got back and realised I'd left the lights on. Still started. Phew! However...when I took the van out again later, I realised that on the d...

Re: Coolant alarm

Thank you. I believe that only one of their mechanics is allowed to deal with Bongo coolant systems* - I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I can keep the old girl going for another wee while. I should have seen to it before, but I'm afraid that everything else went pear-shaped at the same time....

Re: Coolant alarm

Hi. Idiot features here again. Confession - I never did get the alarm reset from 102 to 105. I had good intentions of booking the van in for that and a coolant change, but I'm afraid life turned to excrement and I'm just beginning to pick up the pieces again. Today - not that long after setting off ...

Re: Coolant alarm

Thank you Bob. It was the temp alarm. I had been parked up for a few minutes while I got some shopping - that's why I got a fright: it's never happened before. I was very careful when I took off the cap - used a work glove and did it gradually. There were no alarming outpourings of steam, though a t...

Re: Coolant alarm

Hi. I've had my Hayden coolant alarm for some time now. (Had it installed after an overheating issue a while back. Had already had new cylinder heads installed and then had to have them ground down when it went wrong again. Had the alarm installed and the system thoroughly checked - I recall that a ...
