Re: Solar panels fitting kit

Unfortunately not they attach to the gutter rails, thinking of trying to fabricate a bracket of some sort. The panels I have look smaller than yours and has a controller which tells me what condition the battery is in and shuts off the supply to prevent overcharging. Luckily my friend is an electric...

Re: Solar panels fitting kit

I'm using 200w because I will be going off grid for a long time and I'd rather have more than I need especially in the darker months. I'm using it as a race van so lots of heavy draw items. I was asking for others opinions on fixing not what I'm using it for.

Solar panels fitting kit

I'm going to fit two 100w panels to my tin top bongo planning on doing so at the weekend. I had thought using the roof bars would be the most secure however I 've been advised against that idea. Has anyone bonded them using silkaflex or similar or perhaps screwed them directly into the roof then sea...

Re: Roof bars

Thanks I hadn't actually thought of that was trying to think of a secure way without drilling into the roof. Perhaps I should start a different thread asking opinions and what's been done previously. I have messaged the member who supplies the kits on here but haven't had a response.

Roof bars

Looking for a pair of roof bars to mount solar panels. Bongo is of the 96 vintage tin top and bars to mount to the gutter runs

Same as the roof rack is fitted to so I can retain that as well.
Thanks

Re: Intro and speaker advice

That would be hilarious on a go kart track. What's the real bike then? I've got a 675 Daytona for the roads. I'm only 30 mins from snetterton lucky boy and Cadwell isn't too far. Now I've got the bongoI plan on doing more further afield as I can lock the bike outside and put the over mattress on the...

Re: Intro and speaker advice

Hahaha no worries was looking for an intro section but maybe missed it. Thankyou for the advice perhaps a separate amp would be a better route then its all done in one go with the solar panel wiring etc. Never joined a car forum before I'm a biker and bought the bongo as a trackday van which I could...

Re: Intro and speaker advice

Thankyou for the reply, the sub I've seen is pre amped and the head unit is reasonably powerful so I'm hoping to only need the front and rear speakers I'll be removing the door cards towards the end of the week to have a good look. So the speakers fit without fouling the window mechanism they and th...
