Re: widest rim and offset ?

Try entering your specs into willtheyfit.com. It’s a great website. It’ll tell you how much extra poke you’ll have, circumference difference with tyre sizes etc.

Re: 2 litre exhaust manifold stud 1

The down pipe is twin skin one, they split on the inner wall which makes a racket onto the outer. Interesting, I have just replaced the cat with a secondhand one after mine was stolen. It’s in much better condition than my old one was though. It’s possible but it does sound like it’s coming from th...

2 litre exhaust manifold stud 1

Evening all. I have a blow somewhere around my manifold. I’ve noticed I’m missing stud 1 and I’ve read this can be an issue with the diesels warping the manifold. Has anyone heard of this happening with the petrol too? I can’t feel any exhaust gas coming out but I can hear it’s around the mani somew...

Re: Gearbox oil cooler line leak

Seems to have done the trick. More worrying now is the state of the water line next to it! :(

New exhaust today too. Getting the old one off has finished me off for the day.

Re: Trolley jacks for the bongo

I recently went for the SGS 2.5 low profile as I needed one that would work for both my Bongo and low MX5. I’m really happy with the quality of it for the money. Definitely a good buy.

Gearbox oil cooler line leak

Hi, before I order new hard lines, has anyone successfully cut them back and kept a good seal with a slightly longer rubber hose with a couple of jubilee clips. I don’t have a flanging tool. I have a pin hole in the hard line about 1cm above the join on the one that angles down. I was thinking it wo...

Re: Rear power point wiring

This might be a good shout actually!

I was thinking one of these just hard wired in on a switch.

But the power pack is a good idea

Re: Rear power point wiring

Many thanks. Yes it does seem like the more sensible thing to do. I’m just plucking up the will to remove everything from the back of my van now.. It’s either that or install a new point in the back of the centre console or something. Might be easier. Or a stand alone box. That way At least it’s non...

Rear power point wiring

Morning. Apologies if this has been gone over multiple times. I have spent a while searching. I’d like my rear cigarette lighter point to be permanent power, or at least on a switch. I was wondering if there is a good or easy place to cut and tap into it and what colours the wires are? I would run a...
