Yeah the rectifier bridge is riveted, looks like a nightmare job. Possibly why no rectifier parts have been produced by a third party.

The diodes in the rectifier have blown, do you mean replace the diodes? To refurbish the alternator somebody will need to get hold of the parts.

There is a replacement new alternator on eBay for 94.99 will go for that, shame I can’t get hold of the rectifier as I would have ...

Has anybody been able to source a rectifier for the 2.5tdi alternator, can’t seem to find one anywhere?
