Re: which Sprinter wheel arch

Make sure you remove the interior trim and anything that can catch fire ... it’s not unusual for vehicles to catch fire otherwise. I’ve got the full side conversion and rock n roll to remove, plus interior trim before my garage will go near it. That’s a good point. Thankfully I’ve emptied my van, c...

Re: which Sprinter wheel arch

Have you got outer arch all cut away Not yet. It’s at my mates workshop. He said it’s gonna cost £1500 (plus respray) with a couple of other bits so I’ve told him to stand down. I don’t have that sort of cash. I’ll have to drive it for now, (it just passed an mot) and I’ll get it done in the summer...

Re: Rear Inner Arch replacements

Well they do have a part number on the lush-projects explosion diagrams.

However I think that they’re probably not made anymore. So I may just have to buy myself a welder and learn how to use it.

Re: which Sprinter wheel arch

Mmm, I had a feeling that the inners were going to be a nightmare. Is there anything that kind of fits that can be hammered into a shape where they do fit?

Re: which Sprinter wheel arch

Hey Guys,

Sorry to resurrect such an oldie here.

I’m having a lot of trouble sourcing some rear inner arch replacements which I think are referred to in the ancient post.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Adam

Rear Inner Arch replacements

Hi Bongo Fans, I understand that Mazda have discontinued rear inner arches for Bongos. I'm really struggling to find a similar part that might fit. I have found some posts on here that date back to 2015 with some info but the links to websites for the replacement panels no longer work. Does anyone h...

Re: EGR diaphram stuck

Just a little bump to see if anyone more clued up than I am knows whether there should be any movement of the EGR diaphragm when under vacuum pressure?

Re: EGR diaphram stuck

With this type of EGR valve you should be able to free it off, Wynns do an EGR cleaning spray. Its designed to be used in situ but you can remove the valve & use it to clean it. Thanks for the reply, nth. I actually had a can in the garage and have given that a go. It's immaculately clean now, ...

EGR diaphram stuck

I'm testing the egr valve today to try to work out why I'm getting a code 16 (egr valve position sensor) I have noticed that the diaphragm doesn't move under vacuum. I've applied vacuum, watched the diaphragm and stem closely and nothing happens. It seems to hold the vacuum fine. Would this mean tha...

Or, does anyone know where I can get a blanking plate from?

Removing the EGR pipes

Just had the EGR valve off again to have a look at why I'm getting a code 16 from diagnostics box (when plugged in for auto-gearbox diagnostics) and I can see that there are two big kinks in the pipes, one in both. This must surely be an area for build up of carbon from the exhaust recirculation? I'...

Re: Fuel pump leak - changing out the seals

In the spirit of posting up successful fixes, I can say that I've fixed the problem with the flat spot at 4000rpm. After messing around double checking all the work with the seal change, double checking all hoses were attached correctly, double checking the vacuum system and fuel system and cracking...

Re: Auto Gearbox Codes 16 and 61

Okay, I've determined that it definitely is a 16 and 61. It's super lumpy on starting up, which is, I reckon the EGR code. It goes into limp mode shortly after starting to drive, which I assume is the Shift Solenoid code. I asked earlier, but does anyone know how to fix the EGR Valve position sensor...

Re: Auto Gearbox Codes 16 and 61

*Update* Codes cleared. Short drive later, after a couple of miles, the hold light flashed again. got another 61 code but not the 16. This has lead me to think that I might have added the 16 onto the end of a 61 flash sequence. Therefore, I believe that this is the only code. Equates to Shift soleno...
