Not really. Pretty constant and not that obvious in the cabin.
In fact I got home and could hear anything unusual.
Wondered if its the alternator?

Strange engine noise
Hi I've a 2L 2003 tintop on 70k. Over the last week I've noticed a constant rasping noise from the engine bay. No loss of power, temp fine and no obvious mechanical issues just this noise! We only really run it once or twice a week. Wonder if its cold weather related or needs a squirt of WD-40 somew...

dickie seats
evening
we have a 2003 2L bongo Aero city runner and wanted to fit some Dickie seats to the back of the driver/passenger seats but can't see an obvious fixing point which matches the holes in the dickie seats. Any clues or do they only work on certain models?

Re: 2L petrol engine
so got an OBD II scanner, plugged it in but nothing.....grrrr!
Looks like its fitted but not connected? There is another older diagnostic port under the glovebox. different PIN layout . can you get a reader for that or would a garage have one?

2L petrol.
Was damp today but not raining. Getting a diagnostic fault reader so it might shed a clue.

2L petrol engine
hi So travelled 40 miles today without a problem. Stopped to pick something up then when I started up again the "check engine" light came up. Drove to a nearby supermarket for a coffee. Came back and no light (scratched head). Travelled home the 40 miles all good. Stopped then turned the i...

Re: central locking
Thanks. Well the key it's still locking all the doors from the driver's side so sounds like an issue with retrofitted remote fob system. Pulled out a load of wires connected to the ETC system plus an entertainment system. The radio doesn't work now but was going to replace it anyway. Just trying to ...

Spent the day getting to know the vehicle and started removing the remains of a entertainment system and some small electronic boxes fitted to the windscreen. The car was locking fine with the remote key fob before removing system but now its d...
