Re: abs sensor

I used the same connector as you did with the inserted piece of plastic to spread the connections https://www.ebay.co.uk/ipp/263063123791?transactionId=2629597360016&_trksid=p2047675.l48352 . The metal bracket of the sensor did slide out for me too but there was only a 6mm hole in it, I popped i...

Re: abs sensor

Thanks for everyone's input again. The sensor is fitted according to the directions of willow2u and works a treat. Just a couple of other points to be aware of, 1. It would appear that the sensor is coming from Germany, hence the £8 delivery, and has quite a lengthy delivery time (thanks COVID :D ) ...

Re: abs sensor

Hi, My sensor has just arrived this morning and the resistance of the sensor (without cabling and connectors) is 1240 Ohms. I am going away this weekend so it will be next week before I fit it to the bongo but as an electrician I would reckon it is not going to be far off the 1640 Ohms of the others...

Re: abs sensor

I checked mine to find the faulty one and all three good ones read 1640 Ohms. I'm going to fit one using your method but I was just curious to find out what the resistance was.

Re: abs sensor

Hi willow2u,
Great post, Thank you. My front nearside sensor has gone and I was just wondering if the Ohmic value of the sensor matches the circa 1600 of the original or did you have to add resistors?

Cheers

Re: Master Brake Cylinder

Thanks Teenmal.

Got one from Bongo Spares for £50, I think it is untested but it has held up now for 3 weeks and we're on the road again.

Timing belt change

Hi forum helpers, I am looking for some info. I am going to get the timing belt done on my '98 2.5TD autobox, at a trusted garage, and have heard it is worth getting the water pump done at the same time to save possible labour costs at another time should the waterpump fail. What are your opinions o...

Master Brake Cylinder

HI all,
I am new to the forum and new to bongo ownership (6 weeks now).
I need the help of the group, I have a '98 2.5TD auto and cant seem to find a master brake cylinder for it from standard parts suppliers, Dingbro etc.
Anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks
