I've so far in the last few months done the exhaust manifold / turbo myself, changed the 3 auxillary belts myself, blanked the egr off, bypassed the rear heater pipes, flushed and changed the coolant and bled everything, removed front bumper to replace cr...

Re: Rear top fans not blowing
I know it's unlikely, but I had the same issue and mine was the fact that the blower end of the system, ie the fan bit, had been removed by a previous owner!

Re: Replacing fog lamps
Surely it would be cheaper to simply buy a pair of originals as they'll have the brackets and all the proper electrical connections?

Re: Radiator fans coming on when trying to bleed?
drained and rebled again this afternoon and all went perfectly this time, bottom hose nice and hot, no fans, highest temp was 88 which is what Ive always seen before.
Must have been the way I filled it that one time which is weird but there was nothing different I did.

Re: Radiator fans coming on when trying to bleed?
Hmmmm was afraid it wouldnt be a fan thing, needed to hear it from someone though I guess. I don't think that the self bleed kits the issue, it's been fine so far. I may have just rushed it this time and the only other thing I did differently was filling from the coolant tank only with rad cap off u...

Radiator fans coming on when trying to bleed?
Basically, van is getting to temperature where the thermostat should open but bottom hose remains cool and this time the radiator fans have kicked in. I have a self bleed kit installed and this is the diesel engine. Read on for the specifics which may answer some of the things you are already thinki...

Diesel Cam Belt change query, do I really need to...
.... rotate the cam to the timing marks? I thought it was a case of marking the pulleys and old belt then transferring them to the new one and lining them up then with the pulley marks?

Re: Water Pump Pulley Bolts Problem! Any advice?
Posting this for people that may do a search when tackling a waterpump for the first time like me The instructions talk of 2 nuts and one short bolt and using a cardboard template to keep them in order. So you can see in the photo I traced the pump (as it sits on the front of the engine) onto a card...

Re: Water Pump Pulley Bolts Problem! Any advice?

Water Pump Pulley Bolts Problem! Any advice?
Hi all, so Ive drained and flushed the system and have come to do the water pump this morning.
So, leaving the belts tight and even tightening them up the pulley is slipping on the belt so as i try and undo the 4 bolts the pulley slips round. Now what??
