Ok. Thanks. There's a black from the electric windows I can access easily.

Re: Adding remote central locking - wiring help please

Yes, you're right. Colours on the other side of that connector are completely different.

The 12v +ve is blue with a thin red line - as you said.
The other two are white with a thin black line and yellow with a thin orange line.

So I think what I need to do is to connect:

Remote unit
Battery +ve ...

Re: Adding remote central locking - wiring help please

Thanks very much for your help with this Geoff.

I'm feeling like a real dunce. It's taken me ages to get the actuator in place. Thought I'd find the electrics really simple, but I am struggling with what, I'm sure, should be a simple job.

Am I right in assuming that these are the +12v (Blue) and ...

Adding remote central locking - wiring help please

I'm trying to add remote central locking, fitting it in the driver's side door as per the fact sheet in the members' area.

I need some help with where to connect the "Negative pole (grounded)" wires. Should these be connected to the two non-live wires in the existing central locking system?

14 inch wheels

I recently resprayed my Bongo as the A-Team van (and had rust cut out). It looks great, but I think I need to change the wheels to complete the look.
I've found some alloys that look the part - and I live in Malawi so my options are very limited - but they are 14 inch. I'm thinking that this might ...

Re: Fully draining coolant

Thanks. That's pretty much where I'm at. I've also taken the thermostat out to test. Seems to be opening late, but then my thermometer also seema to suggests that the water in the pan gets up to 104°C so may not be well calibrated! Decided to replace it if I can find one here. No luck so far. Might ...

Fully draining coolant

I'm trying to get all the coolant out of the Bongo (1996 2.5l Turbo Diesel) so that I can replace with fresh coolant. Also hoping to deal with an issue that has arisen since I got it back from a mechanic. He noticed that the bleed pipe was worn so shortened it slightly to get rid of the worn bit. He ...
