Re: Aircon woes - remove condenser?

Hi there, I had aircon issues when I first charged the bongo. Have a look underneath on the drivers side where the 2 pipes lead into the rear heater matrix and see if you can spot any moisture at the connectors. With mine I had it charged and 2 weeks later it was blowing hot again. When I found the ...

Re: Changing fuel for e85 biofuel.

 wow, thanks for the response. That really helps, in terms of I'll be avoiding it like the plague and Ebola combined.
It makes a lot of sense what it written in terms of internal lubrication of certain parts.
Oh well, old and expensive fuel it is.
Thanks again

Re: Auto box not selecting.

Alls sweet with the box and I didn't realise how smooth the gears change when it work perfectly, seriously, I work with Renaults Peugeot and other marks and the only box, from what I've driven, that beats the bongo one, was a 2017 BMW x1. Couldn't be happier really I'd never had any work done on the...

Changing fuel for e85 biofuel.

Hi there, does anyone have any thoughts, experience or advice on changing to e85 fuel? Its basically a cheaper and more eco friendly form of petrol and runs about 100c lower temp through the cat with virtually no emissions. A guy at work is using it on his megane mk3 rs and its pretty impressive. A ...

Re: Transmission judder

Read my post about slipping gears, it started with a judder and finished with a £1572 refurb. Best get it into a autobox specialist. Where are you?

Re: Auto box not selecting.

Well, thanks all for your input. Finally I decided to go for the box refurb which cost £1572 with a 2yr warranty or 24000 miles whichever comes first. Torque converter was completely gubbed and a spring which activates the piston amongst a couple of smaller things. So when I last was on I was in the...

Re: Auto box not selecting.

Hi Bob, nice to hear from you. Won't be able to fix this myself, unfortunately it needs the garage. There's a couple of gearbox specialists here in Salisbury but one things for sure, this ain't gonna be cheap. The problem I have is that I need to head back to France in Friday so if the garages don't...

Auto box not selecting.

Hi there, hope all are fine. Just got back over from France and I'm in Salisbury. Need help drastically as the bongo gearbox is playing up something chronic. Its not selecting gear from standstill almost all the time and is slipping in 3rd too whilst driving. When it does select it jumps into 1st wi...

Re: CONTINENTAL HEADLAMPS 2019...

They are in Spain and it'll cost you 500 euros plus you will have to take the bongo/Freda there. I already asked them. Best bet is the mk3 astra headlights which you can buy on eBay from an Italian seller which you can switch from rhd to LHD. As you say the problem is the facelift style. You need to...

Re: Ticking noise from / around gearbox on automatic petrol bongo

Hi i have a 2.0 petrol and have what seems to be the same noise, it does not do it in neutral or when driving, but it does it when in gear and stopped. Its been doing it for a few months with no change to the noise or performance of the gearbox or engine. I'm beginning to think its something thats s...
