cam belt change

Just thought I'd report back that the cam belt 'how to' for the 2.5 diesel in the members area was absolutely spot on. 2 of us took about 2.5 hours to do it. Hardest bit was the bottom bolt on the cover - I found it easiest it to get at from below

Lost count of the number of sharp edges around the ...

XTRONS CR1502 15" Flip Down DVD TV - offered

As title, just removed the above 12v TV/DVD player from my Bongo as we're not going to use it. Comes with two remotes, mini TV aerial, SD/USB reader, mounting plate, plenty of cable and cable sheathing to keep it all tidy.

Seems to work fine, sound out of the speakers in the unit is not very good ...

Re: First post and warning light question

bit of an update:

I did replace the scavenger fan sensor (as it was only £15) and much better but light now seems to come on in different circumstances and not as often so have something else to check on...

I can indeed read the codes off the glow plug light on the dash once a jumper wire is ...

Re: Cabin Heater / Night Heater

I've been looking at these as well but know I won't have a chance to fit one for a while. Would be keen to hear how you get on if you go for it.

PS, I've also seen second hand Eberspachers and the like going on ebay - not sure if they might be a better bet?

Interesting -I thought the scavenger fan was activated by the one under the arm rest- which looks like this one:

but I see that's a petrol only sensor

Re: First post and warning light question

Thanks for the replies, I might add a sensor to a forthcoming parts order and see if it makes a difference

Leisure battery question

Hi all, new here and new to campers. Love the forum and great to be here.

I have a new (to me) Bongo with side conversion that I'm slowly going through to make sure I know it and that everything works okay for a few trips from spring onwards.

The leisure battery is well past its best so I'll need ...

First post and warning light question

Hi all

I loitered a little while before I bought my Bongo (2000 2.5 diesel 4wd auto with AFT and side conversion) a couple of months ago and then joined up properly when she arrived. Since then I've been trawling the members area learning as much as I can - so much great info in there and on the ...
