Re: sourcing a Bongo

I think you would be very lucky finding a newly imported Bongo with the spec you want especially at the £10K pricepoint from a dealer.

Re: jacking up a bongo

Yes, I tried to drive onto my Halfords car ramps and the front spoiler/skirt hits the bloody ramp before the wheels. A kerb would help as well I guess.

Re: jacking up a bongo

I have an Aero and even my low entry trolley jack won't get under the skirts. Guess I could use the supplied jack to raise her slightly and then slide the trolley jack, not sure why I did not think of that last year.

Re: Front external screens

I have a set of metallic inner stick on blinds and an external windscreen and side window thermal/reflective version. I usually use the inner stick on blinds and have never had a problem with the 'stick'. I used the external one last year and was happy until the night it was windy on top of a hill i...

Re: "Pinking" on my 2.0lt petrol bongo

Plugs new-ish and correct? are you using supermarket petrol (I've stopped using it)? How about some Millers/octane booster or Redex on the next fill?

Re: ARE INSURANCE COMPANIES TAKING THE P*** OR IS IT BREXIT ?

I have had a multi car insurance with Admiral, which has gone from 1185 last year to 2055 this year - with no changes! They can't explain it other than weasel words, so currently thinking of splitting back to 3 separate policies. Can't wait to retire to sell a car and simplify it all. Admiral happy...

Re: Automatic box messing around on the Bongo

You spoke too soon on your other post! Given a garage has had the Bongo (?) for so much work and this fault was not present beforehand I think they should put this fault right at their expense/time. Diagnosing GB issues on the net is pretty impossible but I had an issue akin to the one you d...

Quite a few posts on this issue on the Forum.

I use a length of pipe for mine, the uprated struts were £££'s from SGS (too much for me)

Re: 3 kids and 2 dogs

Personally no way it's far too small; but where this a will.....think you would be looking at gaining extra storage solutions on the top/and to the rear to enable you to take the awning/camping gear as the interior of the van itself would be rammed with the conversion and yourselves/the dogs whilst ...

Re: How often should I take out my Bongo?

Mine gets sorn'd over the winter and covered. But before i do this, i generally check it over, anti freeze efficiency, tyres, etc etc. Also as I'm lucky enough to have workshop with a pit and a ramp, I waxoyl it. I tend to start it once a week during the winter, let it warm thoroughly, and as alrea...
