Re: Tough Northerners in Vests: Friday 23 to Sunday 25 March

Thanks to all at Dent for their friendly chat & advice to a prospective Bongo owner- - when we've finished spending all our savings on this new house in Skipton. Hope Ian, who suggested our visit, recovers from his injury and repairs his Bongo soon. Lots of good advice, and a great run through t...

That seems a great idea, could be a good day out for us, nice run too! Thanks

Re: roll call for Yorkshire and North East

Thanks, all who responded - I will get in touch when I've finished rearranging this house I've moved to in Skipton! Knee-deep in DIY as the moment, but in my resting moments, researching this excellent forum and I appreciate the help. Think I will go for the newest unconverted 2l petrol I can find a...

Re: roll call for Yorkshire and North East

Anyone near Skipton? It's N. Yorkshire, but you all seem miles away. I have a post "might buy one" and I'm looking for advice from someone nearby who can tell me about dealers, servicing etc.

Re: Thinking of going to the dark side. Mot history jitters

such a pity to rule out a small caravan to be towed by your beloved Bongo. We caravanned for 25 years until we moved house and lost our home storage space. But, the last 7 years we towed with a lovely, comfortable, high seated, picnic friendly Nissan Elgrand. We considered replacing the caravan with...

Re: might buy one!

Thanks, everyone! Probably next year to start looking. I'm at Skipton, a lovely town, with fantastic touring and picnic places around. Need to find a decent Bongo, and preferably a nearby honest dealer and maintainer.

Re: might buy one!

Thanks, Bob, my Nissan Elgrand had two "sunshine" roofs - not seen a Bongo with these - do some models have them? I dont want a camping raised roof, but can an aftermarket glass panel be fitted? Also, what is the latest Bongo year available?

might buy one!

Had an Elgrand (sorry) for 7 years - loved it- used it to tow caravan and for luxury picnics. Just sold it due to house move and nowhere to store caravan or Elgrand - which was a thirsty beast! BUT, new house has room for another "picnic van", so thinking Bongo, just "tin-top", n...
