Re: To Bongo or Not To Bongo....?

Hi Sarah, We have had our Bongo for a few years now, and are hooked. 1. As hips age, the automatic is perfect. 2. We took the mini kitchen out and put the second rear seat back in - it makes a better double bed - comfort is king! Younger ones sleep in the roof, although we have at times. 3. We come ...

Re: ARE INSURANCE COMPANIES TAKING THE P*** OR IS IT BREXIT ?

I have had a multi car insurance with Admiral, which has gone from 1185 last year to 2055 this year - with no changes! They can't explain it other than weasel words, so currently thinking of splitting back to 3 separate policies. Can't wait to retire to sell a car and simplify it all. Admiral happy ...

Re: Kitchen Electrics

Thank you! That almost sounds as though I can insert the whole control panel into the original Bongo side panel intact, and not play with the electrics at all - win win.

Thank you so much for the help - I will report on progress in a day or two's time.

Re: Kitchen Electrics

Hi, I have taken a couple of pictures of the Bongo kitchen. It appears to be a SMEV kitchen, and clearly has capacity for a leisure battery - though to my knowledge there has never been one installed (no sign)... http://i.imgur.com/0CMxkmC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JOpxBqv.jpg Many thanks, Stuart

Kitchen Electrics

We have a beautiful '95 Bongo with factory kitchen, although not quite like the ones described. I intend to remove the kitchen to put the seat back in to make a more comfy bed. I assume from reading the posts here that I simply tape up the electrics and hide them behind the panel when I replace it. ...

Re: The Oldest Bongo Still On The Road

We're new Bongo owners, and found this fascinating. We knew our new Bongo was 1995, and the green slip says first registered 1/9/95. The Russian site says manufactured on 24/8/95. Current mileage is 158,000 km near-enough. Just under 100,000 miles. Not bad eh? Better than our 2003 Alhambra with 233,...
