Body parts needed for 1996 4wd

Hi guys, Anyone breaking a bongo? I put a huge fold into the back bodywork, and then someone skidded into my front - ice rink!! So I need a new tailgate, the metal bit above the headlights, a rear chassis crossmember, (I think you have to chop this off an old one, right?) front & rear bumpers, a...

Tailpipe fallen off - on hol - can I still drive it?

Can I drive to Somerset tomorrow, Devon the next day, and on home without it? And ultimately, will I be able to get it repl...

Worcs area? Bongo enthusiast or mechanic for a second opinion on a vehicle

Anyone live or know a mechanic who knows Bongos in the Worcs area? We have our eye on one at JAL in Inkberrow, Worcs. But before buying or committing to one, Phil who runs JAL(i.e. the vendor) is concerned that I get it checked and verified (which is a good idea, plus he doesn't want to start puttin...

Re: 1996 vs 1999 (4wd) dilemma

Guys, thank you so much for posting. I really do appreciate having the Bongo-owners' view! Just one more thing - Anyone live or know a mechanic who knows Bongos in the Worcs area? Before buying or committing to one, Phil at JAL is concerned that I get it checked and verified (which is a good idea, p...

Re: 1996 vs 1999 (4wd) dilemma

Thank you so much you two. That is hugely helpful. They are both with JAL so look from the underside photos to be rust free at present and fairly newly imported (though the price reflects that fact - ouch!). Do you have any direct experience with that dealership to add? Bests, Laura Can't wait to Bo...

1996 vs 1999 (4wd) dilemma

Hi Bongobuffs, I'm considering buying my first bongo. I need 4wd as I live up an exceptionally steep hill! So.. I'm trying to choose between a 1996 bongo (30K on the clock) and a 1999 one (60K on the clock). Same price. I read that 1999 was a 'new generation' - I have no idea what that means - does ...
