Re: Quiet exhaust for V6

Surprised any exhausts built to standard specification would be any nosier than a standard one. Only if a silencer has been removed or replaced with straight through type would I expect it to be significantly noisier. I would check if its touching the bodywork anywhere or maybe blowing somewhere els...

Accident Damage

Its not a post I wanted to make. My poor old Bongo was hit while on holiday in Lock Lomond. Over 900 miles of issue free motoring in less than a week apart from the bump. The damage is relatively light being the rear quarter behind the rear wheel, rear bumper and tail light. Though I am a bit worrie...

Aircon Regas

I have had issues with my Aircon since having a bit of welding done. Understandable because of the rear heater being removed. I have used with some success the home refill kits but this time though it pressurises and all seems to work. fan and compressor kicks in. it isnt cooling. in fact when I che...

Re: Wheels again

Good Morning Regarding the way the offset works (in basic terms). The lower the number the more the wheel will stick out when you get in to the racing type deep dish wheels you can even get negative offset numbers. the value is measured in mm so a few mm on something like the Bongo will not make a m...

Re: On no seized engine.

Dave Westgarth is on FaceBook, not sure what or if he has an ID on here ? I think he has only done them for the F45 at present as he has one himself! But I would have thought a similar design could be made if you ask him. Nice thing is no drilling the van itself, it uses the existing awning fixings ...

Re: On no seized engine.

Really Nice Geoff.

I am really interested in knowing more about the awning brackets.
they look much better that the VW type that I am using at the moment
Are these easily available and will they work with a F35 as well as the F45 you have

Thanks.

Rear Springs

Hi All I think my Bongo needs new rear sprigs as I think they have gone a little soft. It seems a little lower than it should be and just general feels softer than the front and feels wort of pitchy (is that a word). My main question is about the replacement springs. Most seem to be heavy duty and I...

Re: Overheating??

I see a lot of people worried about the performance. While its not going to win any races its quick enough to keep up with normal traffic. I think the biggest issue with the Diesel is it revs a bit to high rather than using the tuque of the engine. Sometime just lifting of the gas slightly so it cha...
