I have heard of quotes around the £300 mark. But it's pointless if it's not going to be done properly (as has evidently already happened on this van before).

Do you think £400ish is more normal then for a good job?

Re: Underseal / Waxoyl

I think this is meant to be over and above. The norm is to just forget about it once done?

Underseal / Waxoyl

Hi, I have taken my Bongo over to Campervans4fun in Macclesfield. They popped it on the ramp for me so we could take a look underneath as i wasn't sure whether it had already been sealed and whether it needed doing. It was obvious that it had been done, but not very well. They were able to point out...

Squeeky Belt when Cold

So, when it's cold my Bongo makes a bit of a squeeky belt sound. I'm not sure which belt it is, is there a usual culprit on Bongos? (2.0 Petrol, 2006) Should I be worried about anything, does it need taking to a garage? Timing belt was changed 2 years and 12,000 miles ago so shouldn't need doing aga...

Re: Tyre Pressures

Pete, what is the MPG at the moment.? I've only had the Bongo a short while and so have only managed to do one "brim" test. I measured that to be 20.5mpg - I'm not sure how accurate the odometer is yet... There was a lot of town driving involved in that to be fair. When I checked my tyre ...

Tyre Pressures

I was checking my tyre pressures last night (as I am trying to check everything that might be making my mpg bad) and this is the metal plate on the inside of the drivers door. https://image.ibb.co/kPCPqa/IMG_20170226_201311.jpg I assume it is saying that it should be 180kPA on the front and 240kPA o...

Re: What is this?

Could it be that's the standard diagnostic socket and the other one is Mazda specific? Ah. After you mentioned that I had a google for diagnostic sockets and it looks like it could be an "OBD2" socket. Thanks. Yes that is certainly what it looks like. How many have terminals? The other dia...

Re: What is this?

Looks more like a SCART socket! but difficult to see precisely doesn't look standard whatever. It really does look like a scart socket! There was one of those Japanese electronic toll collection devices under the steering wheel which I have just taken out. But I'd be surprised if it was connected t...

I don't think so as I have also noticed a plug in the passenger footwell which is has a cover with "diagnostic" written on it.
