Count us in H. I'll write it in my diary this year!!! #-o #-o #-o I can't seem to log on with my user name - maybe it's been too long and I've been struck off?!

Re: Two questions regarding battery earth & alternator..?

Hi Jaylee, There's a large stud connector on the alternator, that has a 10mm? nut on a stud. You should read battery voltage on this with the engine not running, and this should increase when the engine runs. Fraid i cant help with the second earth lead, but I fixed a charging fault on another Bongo...

Re: Tail gate lift

I've used SGS, and they are quick to turn the work around, and a lot cheaper than new.

One thing I noticed, though, was that I could probably have just had one side uprated. With a stainless steel ladder, and two uprated struts, it flies up maybe a bit too quick....

Mite be stating the obvious, but if it's running OK, have they tried resetting the fault codes?

Re: Overheating? cold bottom hose head over 110 celcius

The stat, afaik, is fully open at about 84deg, (this is the water temp). If the water is over this temp, and the lower rad hose is cold either: a. The stat isn't opening (or the rad might be blocked), or b. How sure are you of the temp readout accuracy? If the gauge is still at 11 0'clock, has the m...

Re: coolant alarm.,bingo 2nd time

I wonder if there's a leak that gets worse when the stat opens, Dave? If normal running doesnt loose coolant, but towing (esp up Lindale hill) does, then maybe either a leak when the pressure increases, or the pressure cap not holding the pressure?

Just a thort... :?

Ooops, thanks Kirsty

I've got a modded unit here I can exchange for you, but it's pretty easy to do, and you can then eliminate the Mason and it's wiring.

good auto sparky on the case after i could not fix it,he states that the sparky could not find a fault in the circuit/sender or gauge, or wiring, when he did extensive tests. #-o . he put the fault down to the resister on the back of the gauge . this is not the fix though,as i have swapped them,and...

Re: Lincs Bash, 1st - 3rd July 2011

Hi all, I'm afraid that Jayne contacted me a few days ago to say that one of the barns had caught fire, wrecking farm equipment, grain and tools. Fortunately no-one was hurt, and Jayne and family are being very positive about it all. Unfortunately, with all the extra work they now have, they havn't ...
