Re: Soon to be Bongoless

Hi Mair,

I can send you some details but I want to get it serviced and MOT'd first. I'll get something on here for the weekend :)

Soon to be Bongoless

It's with a heavy heart that I have to admit that the Bongo will soon be going. We've had a cracking time with it and love it to bits but "the bedroom and kitchen on wheels" must make way for an actual kitchen! (Booo!) After a service and MOT at Wheelquick this week it should be gracing th...

Re: Rear air con unit removal

Hi Bongolia, I don't suppose you have/are removing the rear heating/air con control panel too? Ours is missing so I maybe interested if you are?

Re: Rear vent air con issues

Excellent timing of the post Jimbob, we noticed today that the air coming out of the vents was indeed hot  Thanks for the kind offer to test it. I'm in West Lancs so it would be a bit of a drive up to Harrogate (if that's where you are). I might see if I can source one locally, if not, I may gi...

Thanks Janie. I was so wrapped up in getting them on I hadn't even thought of how I would get them off :D

Figure of 8 technique?

Hi All, This subject must have been discussed before but I couldn't' find a specific post (now waiting to be corrected) :) . When we bought our Bongo it came with a rather large awning. The previous owner had attached it to the van with the 3 lengths of figure of 8 (which came with the awning), he e...

Re: Rear vent air con issues

If you have the auto climate control aircon (buttons on dashboard controller, not levers) I believe you can control all the rear features from the front except for temperature which is a mechanical slider on the rear control panel. Correct. I found the issue. When you press the "rear button&qu...

Re: Rear vent air con issues

I don't have one of those new fangled mirrors so had to make do with an old fashioned camera phone  I've taken a picture of the hole where I think the control panel should be. After having a root around, I found a group of wires coming off the main wiring loom to a connector (not connected to ...

Re: Rear vent air con issues

Ah! Pants. That'll be what used to occupy the hole then :(

Hmm. I think I may need some more elbows to get my hand in there.

Thanks for the help :D

Re: Rear vent air con issues

I've had a thorough look through the cupboards beneath the hob and sink (first panel behind the drivers seat). There aren't any controls in there (other than the switch for the blinds). The missus and I have just looked in every part of the van and can't see any. Although we did find another 12v soc...

Rear vent air con issues

Hi everyone, I recently took the plunge and bought a Bongo so I'm a total noob to all things Bongo, for the moment  Please go easy on me as it's my first post. When I bought my Bongo (private sale), I checked the air con blew cold and, when I used the "rear" button on the air-con con...
