Re: Steering Fluid.. Loss.. Is it dangerous?
Thanks guys, haven't done any long journeys since I last topped up with ps fluid. Just a few miles and have the reservoir hasn't reduced that much. About 4/5 drops on an old tea shirt last night.(who knows how long this has been going on for!!).
The journey back to the ferry will be on fairly empty ...

Re: Steering Fluid.. Loss.. Is it dangerous?
Gasy, I see it swells all the seals.. Would it mean I have to replace all the seals in the power steering when I get back. Or would a couple of capfuls limit this.
I know.. I know ..I'm being pedantic. And in an emergency I will have todo!!
Also would any car break fluid do the job?

Steering Fluid.. Loss.. Is it dangerous?
 Stuck in France for two weeks on holiday and leaking fluid under the Bongo!!
A garage identified a leaking steering joint and refilled an almost empty power steering reservoir.
If I keep this topped up will it be ok to drive home?(500km)..
What happens if it runs dry and the power steering ...
