Ok Guys managed to get home and have a quote from 321 away for a recon steering rack, vat and fitting, with 12 months warranty for £265.... That sound ok for me.But I don't seem to have lost anymore ps fluid for two weeks.....self sealed?

Thanks guys, haven't done any long journeys since I last topped up with ps fluid. Just a few miles and have the reservoir hasn't reduced that much. About 4/5 drops on an old tea shirt last night.(who knows how long this has been going on for!!).
The journey back to the ferry will be on fairly empty ...

Gasy, I see it swells all the seals.. Would it mean I have to replace all the seals in the power steering when I get back. Or would a couple of capfuls limit this.
I know.. I know ..I'm being pedantic. And in an emergency I will have todo!!
Also would any car break fluid do the job?

Really Gasy?.. Does that just soften up the seals?

:shock: Stuck in France for two weeks on holiday and leaking fluid under the Bongo!!
A garage identified a leaking steering joint and refilled an almost empty power steering reservoir.
If I keep this topped up will it be ok to drive home?(500km)..
What happens if it runs dry and the power steering ...
