Cable routing for solar setup

Hi all I've scoured these and other forums for some time to try to get this clear in my head, but have failed - apologies if this is routine stuff that I should know already, but here goes... Have solar panel rigged to rear end of AFT. Will be drilling holes to pass the 2 cables through. Have found ...

Re: Waeco CF26

Intriguing. I've recently acquired a CF26 and spent its first weekend running off the rear ciggie port. Worked well but cut out (11.4v at the fridge) during day 2 on the site, had been running the stereo a little and 1 airbeds' worth of 12v pump. Would I get better performance wired directly to the ...

Solar: flexi vs rigid

Hi folks I'm really pleased with my New Dawn Conversions roof bars (thanks Den!) but possibly should've sorted my solar setup out first. The bars in question are the simple transverse bars which bolt into the M8 sockets on the AFT (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mazda-bongo-Ford-Freeda-Roof-Bars-Rails-/3...

Re: Leisure battery charge/discharge

Thanks Geoff, I'll reset the cut-out to a more appropriate level. Is my battery likely to be damaged after half a day under such conditions? Re the roof rack/solar panel conflict - I've already purchased a pair of simple bars that bridge the mount points (rather than the full-length rails that you h...

Leisure battery charge/discharge

Hi folks First run this weekend with my new 110Ah LB (Numax CXV31MF) and split charge/VSR installed. Running my shiny new compressor fridge with a safety cut-out (Waeco CF26). The fridge manual says it is safe to set the safety cut-out to "minimum" voltages when using a dedicated leisure b...

Re: VSR and fusebox on split charging loom

Thanks Northern B, I inspected all of the documentation on their webby first but no suggestion of where to mount the VSR.

It's a minor problem, just wanted to know if others had ingenious solutions they were keen to share!

Re: VSR and fusebox on split charging loom

Thanks folks. My VSR is just too small to screw into the holes under that clutch blanking plate in the bulkhead. But perhaps I could attach the boxes to said blanking plate and re-insert that. Will get in the shed and work something out. Not sure about tapping screws into the ducting, it obviously c...

VSR and fusebox on split charging loom

Hi folks First-time poster so apologies for probably breaking all the rules. I did have a search for answers to this Q first, mind. I've bought a Raynes Automotive split charging loom with VSR. As I'm a Bongo newbie I thought it might be reasonable to ask this fairly simple question: Where is a good...
