Re: Ignition barrel

Just to follow up my post (hope that's not too bad form), it looks as though I mistakenly ordered the non-airbag model part. The airbag version (which I need) has a long bracket attachment and a couple of other fixing points.....

Ignition barrel

Any help appreciated on this! The metal tab on the end of my ignition barrell has sheared off. So I ordered a new (used) barrel. But the replacement part isnt the same. My existing barrel has three fixing points built into the housing, whereas the replacement one doesnt have these, so cant be fitted...

Bingo Friendly garage in East Midlands?

Hi,
Any recommendations about where would be a good place to get Bongo's wheel arches replaced? I'm in the area around Melton / Grantham / Corby / Peterborough.
Thanks!

Wheel arches around Melton / Grantham / Corby area

Hi,
I think the time has come to replace Bongo's wheel arches. Does anyone have any recommendations for who'd be good to do this locally?
Thanks!

Re: ventilation control "wheel" broken (drivers side)

Ive tried the mini cable ties, but there's really not enough of the rod protruding to get anything on the end of it. So I've resorted to an elastic band. Not necessarily a robust solution, but I guess it'll be easy enough to replace with a new one when it goes!

Re: ventilation control "wheel" broken (drivers side)

ok, thanks, I'll give that a try. I'm just trying to work out a way to hold it in, but leave enough freedom for the wheel to move as it needs to... . If I can fix a tie to the end of the rod, that would do the trick!

ventilation control "wheel" broken (drivers side)

Hi, down in the drivers footwell there is a white plastic 'wheel', connected by various rods, which controls the ventilation direction. A small 'retainer' of this has broken off, which means that one of the control rods keeps slipping out. I'm guessing I'm not the only person that this has happened ...

Re: Low Coolant Alarm going off

Thanks all, very helpful.
Just removed the screw and given it a clean - seems to have done the trick!
Hopefully that'll solve it for good. But I don't quite understand... Won't the coolant just re-coat it and I'll be back where I started? :?

Low Coolant Alarm going off

Hi, has anyone got any idea why this is happening? I recently had a leaking hose, so got that replaced and got the coolant changed at the same time. Since then the alarm has been going off when I start the bongo, even though the coolant level not low (plenty in the tank). When I've tried driving, th...

Re: DAB radio for my Bongo?

Thanks - I wondered why I couldn't get the Search to work! There's a good thread here: http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=71445&hilit=radio I'm considering going for this, which is inexpensive and has decent reviews: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-DAB-Receiver-with-AM-FM-...

DAB radio for my Bongo?

Hi, I'd like to get a DAB radio (and cd player / bluetooth) for the Bongo. Any tips / suggestions on what I need to look out for? I'd like it to be pretty much "plug and play", without having to do anything drastic regarding aerials, etc. Is that realistic? I'd like something low cost and ...
