Unconverted!
We have had our Bongo, ‘Brian’ three years now. He is unconverted, we hummed and hahed if we should have him ‘done’. We decided to,leave him unconverted and use a drive-away awning as our ‘lounge/diner. When we were shopping around we found the ‘rock and roll bed’ somewhat narrow and did not allow f...

Re: Advice re. buying a Bongo
When you give it a wash, ensure that you clean the ‘crease’ in the wheel arches, the right angle flange. Keep that clean and waxoyled. Rust attacks from inside out, once it starts all you can do, is cut it out. You can arrest it temporarily by smearing the area in Vaseline.

Excellent Service
Recently, I took my Bongo, Brian, back to his importers, Andy’s Imports near Norwich, just to drop off my old steel wheels and tyres so they could have them for spares as I had changed to alloys. We were generally chatting about Bongos with his Techies and they were admiring the work I had had done o...

A little late coming in on this one but, £1 increase is not going to hurt especially when I have just saved money with Lifesure insurance by quoting my membership number.

Lickhill Manor, Stourport on Severn
I know that this is the site for the annual 'Bongo Bash' but, some people have never been to one, like us.....yet. However, what a fantastic site. Excellent facilities for all ages, toilet and shower block superb. The staff are cheerful and very helpful. The site is well-maintained and looks great. ...

Pop over to the East side of the country and have a look at Andy's Imports just outside Norwich. He is brilliant. We got ours from there, he is so helpful and the after sales superb.

Re: Facebook
You will find that many people from specific groups tend to use FB as it is easy access. I am the Secretary of a large Association with an excellent website. However, there are more members use the two FB sites than we have log into our website; access on FB is instant and replies sometimes in real ...

Re: Pop top roof for a tin top
My Bongo came from Andy's Imports near Norwich. I had a 'Pop-up' roof fitted when I bought it; cost £3000. It makes all the difference when camping being able to stand up inside etc. We have not used it in anger as a bedroom yet. It is not powered so no problem with complicated electrics. Just relea...

Re: New handbrake cable needed.
Thanks for your help. I will research your solutions and take it from there. I must admit £98 for a handbrake cable is somewhat . I could trawl fleabay but I never tend to buying secondhand parts for brakes, steering or suspension.

New handbrake cable needed.
Hi Guys and Gals, Can anybody tell me of a place to get a new handbrake cable from? It is the single one from the handbrake lever to the splitter yoke.
Thanks in anticipation.

Bongo servicing
I have a 2 litre petrol Bongo, August 2002 version. Is there a list of filter part numbers to fulfill an annual servicing? I.E oil, air, pollen etc. Additionally, the best place to get them from.

MOT passed
Just taken Brian (The Bongo) for his second MOT and he passed with flying colours. My garage man said that it is a beautiful vehicle and well-prepared after import. The underside is immaculate and well-protected. Praise indeed for Andy's Imports in Norwich.

Re: New owner and new to forum
Ardee as you live in 'The Fine City' of Norwich like me. I got my roof fitted by Andy's Imports just outside Norwich cost £3K. I am very happy with it. We have not had anybody sleep up there yet but, great for extra headroom and ventilation in summer.
