Re: my Vitrifrigo Fridge has stopped working

Exactly the same problem as the original poster. My 39l vitrifrigo stopped working today! Currently on holiday in France so keen to try and sort out tomorrow morning.

It's the c39l ocn model

The rest of the van electrics seem fine (water pump etc) So I am guessing it's probably a fault with the ...

Changing a leisure battery

Quick question - I've got a new leisure battery that I want to fit this weekend. Is there anything I need to be aware of when changing the LB? Do I need to disconnect anything first?!? Sorry, I'm not particularly technically minded...

Re: Milky oil filler cap

V6's rarely suffer head gasket issues so it might be worth doing an oil and coolant change so you know you are starting with fresh fluids and then monitor the situation carefully.

Oil and coolant were changed in the summer, but I don't know if the milky residue on the oil filler cap was there ...

Re: Milky oil filler cap

Not a good thing ... but the cold weather / cold engine / short runs = condensation .. that can cause a build up of 'mayonnaise' in the cam cover ..

I ...

Re: Milky oil filler cap

How old is your vehicle and what is the millage recording.?

And what was the previous problems with the coolant system?..

Hi Rita,

It's a 1995 model but only done 90,000km, and is petrol/lpg.

Coolant hose that goes to the engine has split three times in two years and lost coolant on occasions ...

Milky oil filler cap

Whilst doing a quick once over on my V6 bongo I noticed that the inside of the oil filler cap has a milky substance on it! I'm aware that this may indicate a head gasket problem :(

I've previous had problems with the coolant system but this seems resolved now and haven't had any coolant loss over ...

Re: Vitrifrigo fridge

Thanks for all your comments and advice :D

I have considered a toploader but don't want to lose the worktop space really. So I think I'm going to go with the c39 option overall. I'll let you know how it goes...

Vitrifrigo fridge

Hi there - I'm new to the forum but been a member for a few years now. Looking for a bot of advice on Vitrifrigo compressor fridges - I am wanting to get one and have seen a Spanish supplier who has them at a decent price http://shop.topboats.com/tienda/decoracion-y-confort/neveras/neveras-y ...
