Re: Mazda bongo suspension arms - where to buy new ones??

Hey Brian,

Cheers for the reply, i had a look in there last week and there are there but they are £225 plus VAT (each) :(

Was hoping for a little cheaper as i also have all the brake pipes to do this MOT as well :?

What is the discount for members?

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, I'm new to this and no way an expert but have you tried the above to see if it's the relay?

The hold light... It might be just telling you it's active so you see it on the first start. It's a guess though.

Maybe a more experienced person can help better.

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, I found if you use a test lamp to see if the power is getting to the glow plugs (I tested all four just to be sure) if no power I would (tho I'm only new to this) follow it back to the battery, mine was the relay and today just popped a second hand one (£30) and it's running like a dream cold ...

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, my van still started without the glow plugs working just took 3/4 turns. I think mine must have been like it for a while and the cold weather has just made the glow plugs needed to start it.

I would replace that wire and you might find it will stop being lumpy at the start (I think)

Also if ...

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, just found out there is no power going to the glow plugs :(

Any idea how to find the fault from the glow plugs to the battery? Is there a fuse location?

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, yeah always waited until the glow plug lights out.

It was running great for a month ago just started over night :(

I have a running van here to swop bits if needed to try, do you think it might be the relay to the glow pugs

Re: Takes ages to first fire up :((

Hey, cheers guys! Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah a big puff of smoke fires out once it's started (on its maybe 3/4 good try's)

Once it's running its lumpy for a bit then fine, until the next morning.
