Re: What Does A Leisure Battery Power?
Could be as simple as someone doesn't want to do the work. :?
Eeek, I hope not as that doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the conversion!
If it's fairly simple and the conversion includes a zig and leisure battery I can't see that being the case really. I'll go back and talk to him I ...

Re: What Does A Leisure Battery Power?
Thanks for a quick reply. That's I'd always assumed otherwise it kind of defeats the point of having one.
Are there any reasons hooking up the lights etc to the leisure battery would be described as "not advisable" ?

What Does A Leisure Battery Power?
Hi,
We're about to get our Bongo converted and have just been told it's not advisable to connect the leisure battery to any of the Bongo's original electrics such as interior lights, blinds, stereo and inbuilt 12v sockets.
This seems very odd to me as the leisure battery would only power the new ...

Re: Which seats to keep in mid conversion?
We're about to get a mid conversion done and are going to move the split seat to the back as I can think of lots of times the extra table will come in handyJoe_anne123 wrote:That mirrors my gut feelings, the bench seat is more comfy, the split seat is more useful. I will probably need to keep both until I'm sure!

Happy Holidays and a BIG thank you!
Hello!
I just wanted to take an opportunity to wish to all a very Merry Christmas and to thank you all for the help you've given me on the path to making that first Bongo purchase. EVERYBODY says "go on Bongo Fury" and now I understand why. You've given me helpful, welcoming and friendly advice ...

Re: Views on mid conversions
I paid a little extra to have an "enhanced" mid-conversion, with a proper fridge and a glass splash-back/sink & hob cover, and have a solar panel on the roof to try to run the fridge from in summer

Re: Basic AFT conversion
Well, I assume the bed can be bought, but it's the little kitchen unit that appeals to me. Most conversions use stock size units that are intended for vans bigger than ours, they really are bigger than I would need, but I'd pay money for one of these small ones

Re: Basic AFT conversion
Oh yes that's very sweet. The wee folding table to extend the cooking area is perfect and I like the way the cooker lid adds more surface if you fold the front seat forward... that's a clever use of space (I sound like George Clarke!)... coupled with the swivel seat you've brought the whole front ...

Re: Views on mid conversions
In this mode without the awning it is tight and unless the weather was fantastic I wouldn't want to spend too long like this.
Just shows you though, 2 grown ups, 2 wee ones AND a dog plus weeks worth of gear... for overnighters where you just need sleep and a cuppa, it can be done :D

Re: SWIVEL PASSENGER and DRIVERS SEATS
It's great to hear people are happy with the new dawn swivel seat... it's quite likely to make it onto my shopping list.
Do they drill into the seat / metal seat base to fit those rods or are they removable replacements for the existing mechanism?
