Re: Puddle of water

The Bongo is 1997.
The coolant seems ok. Its 3/4 full and i am checking regularly.
I haven't an alarm fitted yet, only owned for a month.
I originally didn't put it down to coolant leak because of the location, so never thought of that.
Will keep checking and making a note of levels.
Thanks

Re: Puddle of water

I am having my air-conditioning serviced and recharged tomorrow as it seems empty. So hasn't been on.

The rear heaters are still in place. So I suppose I should look at how to get to them and check them out for any sign of corrosion

Puddle of water

Hi All,
Loving my new bongo adventures.
I have noticed the last couple of days a small puddle on the drivers side right near the gap for the door.
I have noticed when i put my hand underneath this is also damp. Directly above this area is the sink and water bottles. These areas inside seem to be dry ...

Re: Jump Starting

Thanks for all the help. I currently have it charging via mains. Going to get it full and then see what happens.

If it drops, then so does the bank account for a new battery :-)

Thanks again all

Re: Jump Starting

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I jump started successfully last night. Ran for Half an hour.

Went out to see this morning and battery flat again.

Must be a drain somewhere. Any ideas or general drains people know of?

Re: Jump Starting

Hi NTH,

I was always taught never to go direct to battery for fear of sparking etc.

Re: Jump Starting

Looks like being a newbee it might be worth investing in something like this so it doesn't happen whilst in the middle of a field :-)

Many thanks for all your help

Re: Jump Starting

Thanks Mike,

I was hoping any surface as normal.

Just read a few things online over the weekend that put me off a little but now confirmed I shall hopefully bring her back from her coma :-)

Many thanks again

Funky red switch

Hi All,

The bongo newbee here again,

I have a super looking switch on the dash. Its like the James Bond ejector switch (the red one you have to flick up to expose a silver switch underneath)

I am guessing this has something to do with switching between charging the leisure battery and the main ...

Jump Starting

Hi All,

A Bongo Newbee here.

I have had my lovely Bongo for 2 weeks. Been cleaning and playing with all blinds etc. Not realising the previous owners disconnected the leisure battery I flattened the main Battery (I know School Boy Error)

I am about to Jump start the Bongo but wasn't sure where ...
