Re: Advice on sprucing up

Yes, strange times (in so many ways!) at the moment. Old, lumbering vehicles (especially diesel) are kinda living on borrowed time. Yet affordable campervans have never been in such demand, and that often means old lumbering diesels... Living about 1000yds inside the ULEZ (come October) as we do, a...

Re: Advice on sprucing up

Keep meaning to post update, the transformation is mostly done bar front seats.. I know it won't be for everyone but I am really pleased with the result. Wheels are from Kia Sportage, 215/70/16, in an ideal world would have lowered but its not practical, so in lieu of that I like the way they fill t...

Re: First big successful trip!

It's embarrassing but also amusing and bizarre, so worth telling 😁.. We had not long bought it and to cut a long story short I thought it was 4wd but it wasn't. No one had misled me, somehow I just had it in my head. Anyway, loved the idea of parking on the beach and going for a swim. Found a track ...

Re: First big successful trip!

Fantastic pics! And 2000km under your belt is very reassuring... Done parts of the wild Atlantic way a few times in ours.. My profile pic is us getting rescued on Fermoyle Beach just past Dingle.. Was that the ferry to kerry you were on? 😊

Re: Advice on sprucing up

Sure will, can't wait to show it to fellow enthusiasts! Went to the bodyshop today to see progress and choose colour. Turns out there was rot on the n/s sill and he has cut out sections of the wheel arches and fabricated in patches where there were rust bubbles etc. Really thorough by the looks of i...

Re: Advice on sprucing up

Made myself chuckle thinking about my 'radical' changes to the interior. Think I may have over cooked that somewhat.. For radical read - adding splashes of orange colour!!

Tayna Batteries - fantastic service!

Used them last year to get a new leisure battery and was v impressed with delivery service and VFM. When the starter motor showed signs of failure recently they were my obvious choice. So chose the battery and made careful note to make sure it was pos on the left and neg on the right, as I remembere...

Re: Front door speakers

Welcome to the forum, I've never looked at the front speakers but i imagine it's a case of unclipping the front door cards and seeing if a wire has come unattached etc. If it turns out the speaker is kaput then simply unscrewing the old one and replacing with new. Sounds silly - but thought I would ...

Re: Severe juddering when we get to 50 mph from gearbox area

Welcome to the site Jim. The guys at Freelance Mazda in Chatham seem to know their Bongo's, I only used for MOT and general service but I know they get a few Bongo's through and the owner (Mark, I think) filled me with confidence :D
