Re: Air leak from pillar behind drivers head
That sounds like a much more sensible solution!
Will give that a go. Cheers!

Re: Air leak from pillar behind drivers head
Thanks for your replies.
I think the rear air con unit was all removed when the roof was fitted. It sounds likely then that some of the plumbing that may have been blocked off when it was all removed is flowing again. It's definitely not draft from outside as it only starts when I turn the key (one ...

Air leak from pillar behind drivers head
Hi All,
Sorry didn't know how else to describe the problem (which may be why searching hasn't helped :) )
So when I turn the ignition half way (electrics etc) I hear and feel a noticeable current of air coming from the pillar behind the drivers side head rest around the point where it meets the ...

Re: Breakdown after leaving coolant cap off - what now?
Ok, cheers guys, hopefully sounds like I got away with my foolishness then.
Cheers for the concern about the vid, but fear not, it was the very detailed 3 part bongo one.
The video and the pdf instructions I found both refer to a bottom hose under the front of the van. My van has a plastic cover ...

Re: Breakdown after leaving coolant cap off - what now?
Ok, I watched a vid on that before and it didn't look too tricky, shall watch again now. Is it likely to be a problem that we jump started it last night and revved it gently for 10/20 seconds. Sorry if it's a silly question .

Re: Breakdown after leaving coolant cap off - what now?
Hi Bob, thanks for the speedy response. It's a V6 petrol.
Ok so bleeding it, is that due to air in the system or something? Sorry I'm not very techy when it comes to cars. Looks like it's a good job I asked on here and a good job I had the coolant alarm fitted.

Breakdown after leaving coolant cap off - what now?
Hi All,
Had a rough day yesterday. I left the cap off the coolant tank and found out about it after half an hour down the motorway when the low coolant alarm went off. I stopped on the hard shoulder within about 20 seconds but had steam pouring out of the tank. I made the decision to pour about a ...

Re: Tow Bar Weight Limit
Damn! Gutted!
Thanks for the info though Bob and for giving me the technical term I needed.
I wonder if I strip it down a bit and put the heavy captains seat and maybe the 2 batteries inside the van if it could still work. Are you good up to that weight then or do you think it will affect steering ...

Tow Bar Weight Limit
Hi All,
I'm considering getting a tow bar mounted platform to transport my mobility scooter (96kg) as I'd prefer to keep all my seats in. Does anyone know what the load weight limit for bongo tow bar mounting points (assuming that the tow bar itself is strong enough)? I was considering going for a ...
