Re: East Midlands Bongo Owners meet - 21-22 November

Thanks for arranging another meet.

We were on our way to the Rutland one and didn't make it because the bongo's brakes failed at horncastle. And it was such nice weather.

Hoping to make it all the way this time.

Re: Aircon /blower problems

I drilled a small hole in the small indentation/space behind the original arm. I found a flexible bit of plastic about 1mm thick and drilled it for a self tapper to go through. I had to file down what was left of the broken part so that it was just above level with the metal bar, when it was in its ...

Hopefully these links work so that you can see the box behind the rear seat mentioned earlier https://www.dropbox.com/s/wg2lo5q0yfugaoo/27%20sept%202015%20057.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/2vuitdey8bw9xpn/27%20sept%202015%20048.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/tmke9tyb7ryurfd/27%20sept%202015%20049.JPG...

Re: Reminder 19-20 September meet at Rutland Water

Didn't make it. The front near side brake seized on 30 miles in. The wheel was very hot, just possible to touch it. Had to be rescued home. We ate our picnic in the back garden instead. Ordered a calliper and pads from the bongo shop. I want to do both front but the drivers side is out of stock. Oh ...

Re: Propex location

Hi, I put my Propex in a low cupboard behind the rear seat. This means that the bed seating still folds flat for a full size bed. It blows hot air forward from a vent under the seat, and takes it from the side. I wanted to use the cheap gas available at our local welding supplies like I did for the ...

Re: Word of warning for new owners.

I did exactly the same as the first post. Checked the levels before a run, didn't put the cap back on, went for a drive, discovered I'd been all over with no cap on, panicked, then found the cap next to the near side light.

The site web page doesn't show its location, or give a post code, though it does give one for the Lake District which is not helpful. Or is it me

Hi Ricey

We're in Grimsby, could you post another image of your van? as the link to Andy,s is now empty.

We would like to go to Clumber too but we will be in Keswick on our first proper trip since buying ours in September.

Enjoy your Bongo

Re: Propex 2000 fitting with 8 seater

I got it in Grimsby from Magnum Motorhomes for £420. Not a massive sale but it won me over when I was hesitating. They were selling it on Ebay so I was quite surprised that it was round the corner from me, no post to pay.
I just looked, and the sale is now over.

Tried deleting history but still no ability to log on.

What size gas bottle do you use Winchman, and how high is it, or how high is the cupboard?

Does the bed still fold flat?

Re: Propex 2000 fitting with 8 seater

Thanks for the reply Winchman, I agree, nice picture. Have been delayed in answering as my ipad refuses to let me log on. I've had to bring back to life my ancient dead battery frankenlaptop. I will be building a cupboard, when it warms up a bit. Did you remove the carpet or just cut through it? I h...

Propex 2000 fitting with 8 seater

Hi All Bought a bongo after searching the net for a VW alternative. I like it a lot, nice to drive, smooth, love the auto box despite thinking i wouldn't. I sold my caravan because we never used the shower, sink, loo, etc we always founds that the site facilities were superior. For the same reason I...
