Re: v6 20ltr which is best

In my opinion the 2.0l is underpowered for a fully loaded, converted Bongo and you'll spend more time changing up and down the gearbox revving it's socks off to get anywhere and this will inevitably adversely affect the fuel consumption. The 2.5l V6 has almost double the bhp and is much better ...

Re: Solar Panel mounting.

Many thanks.... I've got the Sikaflex 512 after the recommendations on the forum here. I'm going to wait until the weather is more settled and warm then attach it. Maybe I was being over cautious.

Solar Panel mounting.

Hiya

I've just acquired a 100w flexible solar panel that I want to mount on my AFT at the rear. It has some "eyelets" but unfortunately they just don't match up with the threaded roof rail mounting bolt holes. Although I'm planning to glue the panel to the roof (after researching here from previous ...

Re: Makeshift Solar

If it's just a question of trickle charging or topping up the Leisure Battery, what would be the minimum panel output required..... Last week we spent three days at Greenways of Gower, Oxwich Bay: http://www.greenwaysleisure.co.uk and ...

Aftermarket Portable Solar Panel....

Dear All

I've been thinking about re-charging the LB whilst "off-grid" and have a got a fold up solar panel rated at 27w and a regulator but need to know from the experts if it's OK just to plug the regulator output straight into the one of the 12v cigar lighter sockets that is permanently ...

Re: Attaching an awning to the Bongo

Dear All:

We too had a first outing actually sleeping in our new van and tested out the awning thinking it would be straightforward to attach....

Ours is an Outwell awning with beading along the attachable side. I bought a figure of eight piping and attached it to the guttering of the van... it's ...
