Tried the hairdryer test nothing happened, not happy trying to short it. We will limpmhome keeping an eye on the temp alarm with fingers crossed!

Thanks for the replies. We run at about 94 to 97 most of the time and have never heard the fan come on, the ones on the radiator work though. We have the TM 2 alarm. No problem with loss of coolant, no white stuff around oil filler, starts fine, heaters work fine we only got the van in December and ...

Hi will be interested to know how you get on and if it improves the running temp. We are new owners and ours runs at 94/97 we have a haydn T1 alarm fitted and the sensor for the engine is on the back of the cylinder head. Cooling system and hoses checked by bongo competent garage, no loss of coolant...

Thanks Haydn, we had the coolant checked by a bongo friendly garage before we left and the temp alarm was fitted for us as per the instructions. We were a bit concerned as it is cold at the moment and we want to use it in France where the outside temp can be in the 30s in the summer. We got the van ...

Thank you that is reassuring. This is our first long journey in the bongo thecalarm was fitted in January normally the temp shows 94 to 96 once she is warmed up.

Drove all the way from Newcastle upon Tyne to Kent crossed chunnel to Calais drove 2 miles and the engine alarm came on at 101 cooland fine no low alarm on that, we have the Haydon dual alarm. Hi and thanks have spoken to mechanic who did the work and he had drained and changed the coolant so he thinks airlock is likely problem and has asked me to take it in asap and he will check. Coolant level seems fine but there was some around the cap so hopefully it was just a loose cap. It was the ...
