Re: V6 Misfire and racing

You can see my other post on a similar issue I had.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76594

The lamda probe was placed but also rotor arm and HT leads. It was one of these causing the issue for me.

Re: V6 Low idle revs in D whilst stationary

Hi all,

I managed to work out that this was ultimately a missfire likely on a single cylinder. The HT Cable's, rotor arm and distributor cap seem to have fixed the problem. I was also told that the Lambda probe could be at fault so I replaced that too.

I also tried using the wire and volt metre ...

Re: V6 Low idle revs in D whilst stationary

Many thanks for that info and wise words. Those parts are on their way to me just now so fitting tomorrow as well as the Lambda probe. Universal Densu part DOX-0109.

I've wondered about an Idle Control Valve (ICV) and seen it mentioned in relation to 2.0L, located at the front. I cannot find one on ...

V6 Low idle revs in D whilst stationary

Hi all, very grateful of help and advice from anyone on this:

I've read a lot of forum post on the V6 with low idle revs whilst stationary and the engines under load i.e A/C on or in D.
The revs start over 1k when cold, drop to just under 1k when warmed up. Then through driving or turning on A/C ...

Re: Bongo Stolen from Southside of Glasgow

I'm very pleased to report that we have found our bongo. People replied to a Facebook post after seeing it. It is a bit messed about inside but isn't a complete state.

My intention is to get it to a really good specialist to check it's mechanics and make all goos. In case they have thrashed it.

I ...

Bongo Stolen from Southside of Glasgow

Hi all,

Our beloved Bongo (second home) has been stolen from outside our home in Langside area of Glasgow last night. We are absolutely devastated. We originally bought it at auction in China, had it shipped over then converted by Clearcut Conversions, before we clapped eyes on it. We loved it from ...

Disconnected power cable

Hi all,

I'm not so regularly under the bonnet of my bongo and have limited mechanical awareness of it. I've spotted the connector in the picture below and am not sure what it is and whether it should be connected or not. I'm wary of just plugging it back in. Many thanks!

Re: Securing units & wooden floor

Thanks for all these points. This has given me plenty to think about. I'm sure once I actually take ownership and get inside for a good look around, then more ideas (or realities) will become apparent.

I'm picking up the bongo from the south of England and driving back to Scotland. I might call in ...

Securing units & wooden floor

Hi all,

I will be taking ownership of my unconverted bongo in the new year and am tackling the installation of kitchen units on my own (with some help most likely).

I'm intending to put a unit with sink/hob/fridge on the drivers side where the middle row of seats are. Then retain the rear seats ...

Re: Leisure battery fitter - Edinburgh Area

http://www.campers-scotland.com/ might be worth a try though when I went to see them recently, in search of a Bongo, they seemed quite busy. I don't know how much work they do which isn't full conversions. Worth a phone call I guess?

I've just bought a Bongo myself which isn't converted at all and ...
