Got an sgl5 with factory spot lights. They are not working and cant figure out why. Fuse in tact, power to fuse, switch works, wiring correct, bulbs work. believe the ecu will only turn them on when all conditions are correct. what are these conditions, not urgent just annoying

vibrating van on idle
recently fixed the fast idle circuit and wow it idles with a lot less vibration at 900 revs, but back to vibrating like a bus when fast idle drops out. How doI imcrease the idle speed. Looked at moving the switched stop out on the acceleretor, but dont want to rotate the attached wire to much.

Re: Leaking Injector pump
Evening
Know i am reserecting an old post, but does the acetone trick work. Will it stop a leaking injector pump.
Do you just add it to the tank and will 100% acetone nail varnish remover be ok.
Feel a bit stupid asking

put the camshaft in today and hey presto back in business.

Re: loss of power
Sorry forgot to mention that I put a reconditioned head, when changing Conrod. Did specify that I did want a Mazda head when bought and was not sure I got what I asked for! Seen 2 older posts on here regarding cheap Chinese cams snapping in the middle. Is this the problem?

Re: loss of power
evening went to check rocker arms tonight. Found some loose tappets so went to reset clearances and noticed that when i turned the engine over, the camshaft had snapped in the middle. Will this be the cause or a sympton of something else. no rockers broken, are the valves and pistons likely to be ok...

Ticks over badly at 700 revs. Won't rev over 1000 revs. Tried diesel straight into injector pump. No change. Any ideas?

Re: Hammering noise from engine!! Please help.
insured taxed and MOT'd.
Been back on the road a week. All ok. Only comment seems to be a lack of power when I put my footdown. Which is not very often.
Vacuum hoses to relays have perished and I have not replaced yet. Would this explain lack of power.
