Re: Wing mirror bracket

Thanks everyone. Yeah you are right it looks like they are very difficult to get apart. What we managed to find was an electric folding one from a Freda which luckily has screws on the bottom (I presume this is a gen 1 design) which you can use to take the bracket off the bottom, this then means the...

Re: Wing mirror bracket

Thanks - yeah I will try them, sadly we only noticed yesterday - we have a call in with the local bongo specialist but being the weekend he's probably got other things on. Ours is the lime green, near side, power folding mirrors... I've just had a good look at it, and around the web for some diagram...

Re: Wing mirror bracket

Hi, Could really do with a hand with this one. I have body coloured mirrors and can only find black / other colour mirror assembly and guts - in theory I'm thinking it should be possible to take the guts out of the broken mirror casing and replace with a "new" one. Does anyone know how you...

Wing mirror bracket

Hi All,

Woke up this morning to find that someone has taken my near side wing mirror off :( - it's broken on the bracket but the rest of the mirror appears to be fine.

I can see loads of complete mirrors but does anyone know if you can buy just the bracket itself anywhere?

Cheers

Re: Paul Furze - Bongo mechanic - update

I've *sort of* used Mastertech in Eastleigh. My girl needed a new set of plugs, leads and a distro cap to try and sort out lumpy idle on LPG (already converted when bought) Mastertech seem to be the guys that Kevin @ Southern Bongo's uses as his garage for his vans - and I say I *sort of* used them ...

Re: Roll Call for South Wessex

Greetings from hants / hants/surrey border area.... I'm Oli - joined a while ago but realised that I'd posted my hello message in the devon and cornwall group - wishful thinking!! Picked up my bongo from Kevin @ Southern Bongo's about a week ago now :D Hopefully get to chat to you all a bit more, ma...

Re: High Temp Alarm Systems (V6)

Actually another quick question Is there a normal level for the coolant in the expansion tank? Mine is half to just below halfway between the MIN and FULL levels - is it generally a good idea to just top these up to the MAX levels? I did buy from a dealer, who assured me that everything had been che...

Re: High Temp Alarm Systems (V6)

Thanks haydn - that's a really good point about the V6 and not something I'd thought about! LOL knowing that it's something almost everyone has done I know I shouldn't be worried, but I'm a complete oaf when it comes to doing anything with detail. I don't think funds are going to allow for both at t...

Re: High Temp Alarm Systems (V6)

OK it does seem having read a bit more that the low coolant alarm might be the way to go.

I'm still nervous about it though, I've read some of the PDF's I can find but having trouble visualising it step by step myself.

I'm just being a wimp, but I really don't want to break anything.

Re: Road assistance /Euro recovery

Thanks all, just a follow up. I was going to go with autonational but then when I got the insurance from clubcare insurance they offered me euro (90 days to match the insurance) cover for 60 ish quid - so I just took it there and then as it was a bit cheaper and think it's done through RAC. Still wa...

High Temp Alarm Systems (V6)

Hi, Probably loads of posts about this already (I have searched around a bit before posting) but wanted to get the most up to date info. I have a V6 which doesn't have a high temp alarm. The dealer I bought it from said that generally V6's don't suffer from coolant / over temp issues, however I'm no...

Re: Camping Chairs

If you are purely looking for the cheapest (personally I am, because they are likely to get damaged in some way anyway) I've just popped down to The Range and they had 2 for 14 quid which was the cheapest I could find online etc, that said I'd not looked particularly hard but they seemed well enough...

Re: Newb question - gas bottles

Awesome thanks for the link to your trip as well, working out what to do is next on my list!

That looks like a fair bit of driving, I've already told the O/H we can do a lap but might have to come back again to do the middle :)

Re: Newb question - gas bottles

Thanks! That's what I'm liking about these forums, I've never even heard of a 907 before - great to have access to all this knowledge! Would a 907 power a small gas bbq as well? I'm only thinking of something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARAVAN-CAMPING-TABLE-TOP-GAS-BARBECUE-BBQ-/1213312673...
