Front Lower ball joint.

After my bongo failed the MOT on front lower ball joints, I was please that I had already got some. After 10 days of bashing, knashing of teeth and crashing the first one is done. It took 7 days to take the old one out. It wouldn’t shift. I made all sorts of contraptions and also ordered pullers ...

Re: Bongo insurance

It’s definitely a Bongo Friendee says on the back. We bought it in 2002. I hadn’t really looked properly at the registration and can’t remember getting a new document in 2014. We were given its original document when we bought it.
Not sure why the dvla decided to issue a new certificate in 2014 ...

Bongo insurance

On our DVLA registration our Bongo is registered as a private/light goods PLG. it’s an unconverted bongo and I think should be an MPV. I have been insuring it for the last 18 years wrong😱. Mazda Bongo comes up as a 4 door saloon on some insurances. I have tried the bongo recommended insurances and ...

Is the door lock mechanism the same

Is the door lock mechanism the same in a 1996 bongo as a 2001. As it looks impossible to find the mechanism that has all the rods stuck to it, it might be better to buy a door and take the part out and fit it to ours.

Re: Drivers door won't unlock

After much nashing of teeth I decided to trawl the internet for you tube videos on window problems. With the advice we connected a battery to the two wires that connect to the window motor, it didn't work so after another YouTube video said it was ok to change the live and neutral wires over, the ...

Re: Drivers door won't unlock

Got the switch back but I noticed that the window motor was hot. The other side is normal. Is there any easy way of checking it it won't be easy to get out! Waited for it to cool then tried again, giving it a little tap. I could hear a high pitch wine even though I stopped pressing the switch it ...

Re: Drivers door won't unlock

After taking the drivers side switch off to look do you put the little ball baring and spring inside the white bit first then when that's together put the switch on. But the little white thing will go down when you finally put the switch on. We are getting deeper in trouble.

Re: Drivers door won't unlock

Thank you for your reply. Husband made a hole in the card I fiddled around, as my hands are smaller and I've got more patience :D I managed to get the door open. But when we put the key in it jammed again. So it's something to do with the key. At least now we can take off the card and have a better ...
