Re: Garage in Sheffield
I've heard decent things about Dore Service Station (www.doreservicestation.co.uk) in Sheffield, but have not used them personally - I'm in West rather than South Yorkshire.

Re: changing to motor caravan for insurance purposes
I have a rear conversion, and it took 10 days from sending my reclassification application in to getting the new V5 back as a motor caravan from DVLA. No hassle at all - this within the last couple of months so very current. Just send photos of everything they ask for, along with a one/two line desc...

Re: Seat belts and rear facing seats
I only have two lapbelts (I have actually removed all 3 point belts entirely in the back) on the reversed middle seats of my rear conversion. It was recently changed by DVLA to a Motor Caravan no problem, and more to the point when the V5 came back saying it was still an 8 seater I sent it back with...

Re: Bongo exhaust pipes
The audio/visual customisation is fairly universal with stainless exhaust systems. At Tony Banks I chose a quiet system (well, quiet by freeflow stainless standards) and a nice set of twin tailpipes.

Re: Bongo exhaust pipes
Tony fitted a full catback system on my Bongo a couple of weeks ago and I've just done a 600 mile road trip without any worries. Maybe he learned from your experience?

Re: Bongo at The Edge (WEST YORKSHIRE MEET) 14th Sept 2014
<bump> Anyone else from BF going to this on Sunday? There are a bunch of folk over in the Mazda Bongo Owners Facebook group who have said they are going and, while there is some crossover in membership between here and there it, it would be nice to see some BF faces in Huddersfield. See you there?

Re: Just waiting on the cushions
Can you give us an idea (ball park would do) of the cost? Or if you'd rather not can you drop me a message with the contact details of the chap concerned please? I'm looking at getting a rear conversion pretty much the same as that, and a split-charge leisure battery setup, done once the summer is o...

I've been admiring that on the Mazda Bongo Owners FB page, and have to say it really does look the biz.

Re: Some advice on what to kit out my van with
Hmmm. I was kind of assuming that insurance companies would want a van that has been re-registered by DVLA as a camper, rather than a simple removable rear kitchen module. Do you mind me asking who you are insured with? I ask as I'm preparing a project to do a simple rear conversion myself (still no...

Aero body kit and insurance
Confused by the way that online quote systems determine what is a modification or not. Buying a Bongo which is described as an Aero City Runner and has the factory-fitted Aero body kit and alloys. Obviously I will be informing 2Gether/Lifesure/AFlux of the kit/wheels when I call them for quotes, on ...
