I am delighted to inform you that I am back in my bongo. Picked it up yesterday evening. All perfect. The wiring problem was sorted but also needed alternator refurb as it was full of oil.

It came as great relief to hear yesterday that the engine had finally leapt into life. Seems this wiring issue was the problem. Supplementary problems now are breather hoses crumbling and no charging occuring but these should be easy to resolve now ...

Latest update from yesterday
me and Steve have been looking over everything very carefully on your car for the last two days it is mostly back together but still does not run but we have done some other tests and we think we may have found some thing the wiring to the dizzy. I have done an ohms ...

Mark has spoken to Allan. No flashes of inspiration suggested check various timings all electric connections and try different ecu

Ta. Have avoided looking at the calendar, but just checked its been in 11 weeks. My mum is really fed up too as I can get her in her wheelchair in the back so she has not been on a proper jaunt for a while. Off camping under canvas this weekend!!!!!

Hi Andy right update I tried the thing with a timing light on Friday afternoon with the new battery on and it showed the ignition timing too be way out.
So have been racking my brains why it would be so far out its not enough ...

Not quite yet. Marks stripped it all back down and is going back over it with a fine tooth comb. He going to ring Allan tomorrow if time permits with the stripped down engine in front of him.

No news. Mark has been working though the various thoughts etc should get an update tomorrow for you all
