Thanks Geoff for the advice on battery sizes and wiring.
I tried my son's leisure battery today, also 75 A/hr but known to be good and had some interesting results.
After a full charge with no load was just shy of 13V
With fridge on dropped to 12.5V
after 4.5hrs dropped to 12.3V

Re: Battery capacity and Fridges
Thanks Geoff for the clear explanation. The battery is just over a year old and came with the conversion. Yes I guess the battery has been run down but only noticably this season since the winter, although the van was driven occasionally over that period but with no use of the LB. Must admit I didnt ...

I know there are lots of variable factors such as ambient temperature/fridge settings etc but I am sure mine used to run for longer but now won't last overnight. its difficult to ...

Has anyone had experience of these guys? http://bongospecialists.co.uk

V6 Oil seals and cambelt
About do a cambelt changed and noting the helpful advice here to get oil seals changed at same time. My friend and regular mechanic who has never let me down yet, has not done this job before on a Bongo, but happy to do the work but suggesting I get the oil seals from the forum shop. He will get the ...

Re: V6 cambelt. How to know if its been changed? Also temp g
Thanks guys very useful advice. I am in Monmouth, South Wales so not sure if there is anyone local. Will ask my regular mechanic if he has ever seen a Bongo!
On the temperature gauge again, noticed today the needle is hard left on the stop until you hit traffic. No heating either until traffic ...

V6 cambelt. How to know if its been changed? Also temp gauge
Hi just joined forum after buying a 2002 V6 on 103k km yesterday from a local trader. It's a fresh import with no service history (guessing that's faily normal). I'm not too worried as it looks well looked after and drives faultlessly but I stupidly didn't think to ask about cambelt. Having spoken ...
