Re: expansion tank temp and pressure
That's just it, the larger of the two hoses gets slightly warm and the smaller not at all. It was a real pleasure to drive, in fact a more relaxed drive than my company VW T5. We had intended to get her just for this trip but have now decided to keep the Freda and sell the rest of the fleet. At leas...

Morning all, Well after a very successful trip to the Alps and back where Freda performed brilliantly, 8 people, 15 pairs of skis and all the associated gubbins that goes with a ski trip and not a single issue. One question that keeps coming back to me is that the expansion tank rarely get hot and a...

Part Number MAZDA BONGO DIESEL INJECTOR CRUSH WASHER
Hi All, the chap that is sorting out the small leak on injector 2 is trying to source these but Mazda have given him 3 options.
I don't suppose anyone would know the correct part number?
Thanks
David

Re: cooling system overhaul, pattern part replacement radiat
Sorry for not replying, mothers day and all that. I did manage to replace the elbow with a 3 pipe one and bled the system using the see saw method, man that can take a time especially with the help of a 5 year old, but nether the less got it done with no more bubbles coming up. Re: cooling system overhaul, pattern part replacement radiat
So today I fitted a TM1 as I just don't trust the temp gauge even after the mod, it just went too high on the scale for me to be comfortable with it. With the TM1 fitted and taking it for a test run the temp rose to a max of 93 and then started dropping while stationary so I guess all is working ok ...

cooling system overhaul, pattern part replacement radiator?
Evening all As I will be taking the Freda on a 2000 mile journey in just over a week I have decided on a belt and braces approach to the cooling system as I have been reading lots of horror stories. I am going to do a complete system flush and refill, replace the thermostat and expansion/rad caps wi...

Temp Sender
Evening all Has anyone any experience of the Lucas temp sender for the temp gauge as mine in knackered but need to get it replaced tomorrow so was thinking of going to my local motor factors to get one. Alternatively I could go to Ford parts and see if they have one for the ranger head as the neares...
